Wow, this forums software sure is different than ours at the DSSUG!! hehehe (grin)
Anyway, I wanted to come here to my other fav site to post a couple things...
Good to see a few of the DSSUG regulars here too by the way. (Gs2, others! ;) )
First off, Risestar, I posted your latest across the bow on my news page... I hope you don't mind. I found it EXTREMEMLY well put, and FULL of VERY important info that I think every Canadian should know...
If you wish me to remove it, just say the word. I just thought I could offer more space and readership to it that you already have :)
This whole thing with Sheila Copps, Brian Tobin and Industry Canada is COMPLETELY BULL----, and I am so pissed off by it I can hardly stand it. Good thing I don’t see Sheila at all... Beause she really wouldn’t like to hear what I have to say to her. I can't believe Canadians VOTED this retard in! What the HELL where they smoking?
Gs2, I didn’t know you where from out in Ottawa!! Maybe you can get a big protest sign and wear it on the hill!! haha (I would!) You guys say the word, and I will be there to protest for sure alongside my fellow Canadians
I was not aware that ALL you guys where going to be at the court date!!! I felt a little left out! I would have liked to be there and met you all, and see what happened! I didn’t know you all went! I talked to Ian Angus's assistant a couple days before the case and asked about cash for them. (Ian is AWESOME, and he has been a great help to us all!) She told me they still needed more dough, but they would still be going anyway no matter what. I know there will be more cash needed even now, so in addition to my CONSTANT reminders and big posts on my site to get my readers to donate dough, I am making this announcement that I will also be sending a LARGE donation on behalf of my site. All this is the least I can do for such an important cause... OUR CANADIAN FREEDOMS...
I would like to take this chance thank Rise, and the others who where there for the date, and for providing all of us with such great info about this court thing. Without their awesome input and reporting, we would all still be in the dark, considering how UTTERLY ----TY our Canadian News channels are at reporting stuff that Canadians SHOULD know about... Again, thanks to you guys!!!

BTW, we will NEVER take this forum off the DSSUG site. It is of such extreme and grave importance to all Canadians... EVERYONE from Canada should know about this stuff!

I find it hard to take, that it seems EVERYONE that lives here in Canada, pretty much sits back and takes it!!! I walk around in the supermarket, or the mall, and look at all the people, and wonder if they EVEN KNOW that they're freedoms are being assaulted and they may in fact LOSE a freedom to choose... Even if they never watch a day of satellite tv in their lives, they WILL LOSE A FREEDOM...
Our extremely LAME MEDIA here in Canada doesn't report anything that will go against the government!!! If they do, its like a 20 second strip of BULL---- that tells you NOTHING... The small little ctvnewsnet spot on the night of the SC case for example... Total waste of film... I HONESTLY FEEL that this sort of thing should take at least a 30 min special report.... It’s more than just TV here... They are trying to stop YOU (fellow Canadians) from having a choice!!!! Its simply amazing how they are slipping this in the backdoor!!!
Another thing that bugs me is that bell is trying to take the easy road by going after the dealers here, when in fact they should be going after the CRTC and the government, for not allowing them to compete with the US providers. As I have said a million times before, PEOPLE IN CANADA **WILL** PAY TO GET US CHANNELS AND SIGNALS from a Canadian provider! If bell was simply allowed to broadcast the SAME EXACT programming with no stupid content laws, then everything could be solved...
The CRTC is a HUGE problem here in Canada... Canadian content laws need to be axed.... People who WANT to see Canadian TV should always have the choice, just as anyone who doesn't, shouldn't have to either. (Hell, no one watches hardly any Canadian TV right now anyway....)
(Of course, there are those out there that would almost rather have things stay Grey though.. wink wink. ;) )

LETTERS, CALLS, FAXES ....Fax the ---- out of Sheila Copps AND Brian Tobin. SERIOUSLY. Be serious... DO NOT SLAG THEM... Simply state your opinion... TELL THEM YOU DON'T APPROVE OF THEM TAKING AWAY YOUR FREEDOM
If I lived out in Ottawa, I would be standing on Parliament Hill with a big ----in card that tells exactly what I think of Sheila and Tobin... Doesn't anyone out there care???? No one else has done this?
This sort of thing should qualify for a parliament demonstration... Think anyone would come? Hell, without the media no one would know!!! Do you think we could get people to show? I would be there for sure!

That little STUPID article that was posted the other day, about how they where going to get the federal government to stand behind Bell, to enforce their monopoly in Canada, and to actually not allow any other broadcasts AT ALL FROM ANY SATELLITE DEVICE what-so-ever...Its totally COMMUNIST... If we lived in the 60's I bet they would be accused for sure... It makes me SICK... I wonder how the HELL these incompetent people get into office? WHO THE HELL VOTED FOR THESE PEOPLE.... Jesus.... (When is the next election out there anyways?)
Oh well, I hope my fellow Canadians WAKE THE ---- UP and smell the coffee soon....
