Just some thoughts here, on the basis of TTRK saying that these letters are not enough proof to show proponderence of guilt! The two main co. W.V. and Vector, did they not sell other stuff other than dave devices? I know someone that bought some power supplies and cables only from Vector, he got no kind of invoice. Who's to say they didn't mark his sale down as a programmer or something? Look at all the internet fraud, stealing of credit card #'s, forgery, etc...if they don't have u signing a receipt or catch you with the device, how can they prove to any extent, purchase, possession, or use?IF just a name on a order convicts you, then the USA is in trouble. They are simply hoping for a settlement, and intimidate people, they know people don't like hassle's and publicity.....but hopefully some lawyer will stand up for this! Innocent people will be accused and some guilty will get away! After some major cases are dropped and somebody wins a civil suit in retalliation, maybe this will stop! I agree people should sub, if available, and decrypting their signal is wrong, but they can't be helping their business, only increasing cable sales! The fault I see it is in their security system and that should be their first concern! Its sad that the USA was founded on freedom, ten commandments, and opportunity, now its turning into a communist controlled society governed by contributions(bribes) to politicians. Before long they will be choosing your religion and rich corporations will be sueing people because they contributed money over the internet to some cause that has supposedly caused them monetary losses and winning cases on a name alone!
MONEY is EVIL, and the Home of the Free is no more...privacy is gone, freedom of choice is losing ground, and the constitution is being turned against you! This is shown just not by the Dave letters, but many other ways also--smoker rights, motor vehicle insurance fraud, etc...Just my .03 and everyone's opinion is welcome!
Idea--if your car is broken into, lets sue the car manufacturer for punitive damages because our car was not built secure enough to protect from unlawful entry.... ;) Sorry for the long rant...and may our country Canada prevail in their freedom!!!
If I'm in the US it will probably be possible to sue me over these opinionated words, regardless of the constitutional right--Freedom of Speech...:(
