NNPC RELEASE 42 OIL TRUCKS TO LAGOS AND ENVIRON

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has advised marketing companies to step up products loading from Mosimi and Ejigbo depots to clear the queues in the Lagos area. The products queue build-up is due to the following reasons:

First, an industrial dispute between the major products marketers and tanker drivers prevented many of the majors last week from loading products from NNPC depots at Mosimi and Ejigbo for on-ward distribution in the Lagos area.

Second, while the dispute was resolved last week, it is still on between National Oil and its workers.

Third, last week, the tanker drivers lost one of its key officers at Mosimi, and the burial activities slowed down loading of products at Mosimi depot.

The NNPC wishes to assure consumers not to engage in panic buying as it has adequate products in the area. As at this morning, it has the following stocks at its depots in Lagos area:

Atlas Cove Depot: 15.37 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) Mosimi Depot :7.424 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol)Satelite Depot (Ejigbo): 4.047 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol).

Accordingly, it has this morning made the following additional tanker allocations of products to the following marketers in an effort to clear the queues in Lagos.


As most know, DTV uses a very highly complicated molecular fuel to run it's satelites provided by this company, while at the time they claimed to have adequate resources to handle their burgoning problems, it quickly became apperant that they were ill-equiped. Since DTv was unable to buy the nessisary amounts of fuel required to run a satelite, they were forced to shut one down. At the time it was deemed that the most prudent course of action would be to shut down the H stream satelite, so voila....they did. The closure of this satelite didn't affect the ability to recieve signal, but affected the ability to transmit data (as in ECM/Hash info) so we were left with 9 months of pleasure. Due to contract negotiations between the parties, DTV is now able to recieve all the nessisary fuel to run it's dishes.....leading to Hashing, ECM's ...ect...

Is the end near......hhhmmm......I don't know.

But, I also believe that both sides have equally skilled people working on circumventing each other. This is a cat and mouse game where at this moment it appears that Dave has the upper hand. This migh talways be the case or it can quickly change. Until we know everythign there is to know about the HU card Dave will always have an advantage. Having said that, if you are willing to try to learn and not just depend on someone else doing all the work to get "free tv" then you will (at least in my opinion) be able to continue to enjoy this...if all you want is everything handed to you on a platter then you might not be so lucky.

Don't be afraid to read, do searches and ask questions.....there are many skilled and helpful people here that will give you a hand to learn.
