I think it's time for everyone to step back and take a long hard look at whats been going on in this hobby over the past 6 months. Dave has basically been killing anything and everything he can get his hands on. He has hit the BS H, the HU, Activation and is now hashing the newest release of emulation software the day after it was released. Script writers have basically completely ceased releasing public software because it is killed in literally hours, and the time it takes to write new code to circumvent the new hashing can sometimes take alot of hours. This is no longer a game for the guy looking for free tv via downloading s/w off the net and watching it at no cost. Nor the dealer who would download the latest freeware and charge his customers for something he didn't pay for. What still amazes me are the weekend heroes who will somehow get a copy of a private script, or bin, and post it on the net for Dave to kill. The logic behind this type of reasoning is beyond me. It hurts all concerned. When will this stop? This hobby has come down to haveing 2 ways to watch tv, pay a dealer who bought a private 3m, or learn to write it yourself. Even the dealers are stabbing each other, and when this occurs, all are hurt. I guess there truly is no honor amongst thieves. This hobby is slowly being forced underground. The open discussions about code are almost extinct. Only discussed in a private chat room or over the phone. For those who have been here since the beginning of the H days, step back for a moment and take look, these are not the best of times.

Thank you for the kind words pants. I have been in this hobby for quit a few years now. No , I do not have a huge number of posts here. But then again, that number demonstrates quantity, not necessarily quality. It's a sad state of affairs when people can no longer discuss scripting in an open forum for fear of being bashed, ridiculed, or having their efforts stolen by someone who has nothing but their own personal gain at heart. I see newbies who are interested in learning how to write code being told to read, there is nothing available today that remotely explains in laymens terms, how the the code that exists today functions. Therefore, how are they to learn. I tip my hat to those who have demonstrated both the patience and mindset to help others learn this ability and become independant of the dealer. You know who you are. It's disappointing to see writers posting ways to kill other writers work. Or when longtime friends are worried about even sharing a sub bin or a script with each other out of fear it may be leaked. Daves penetration into circles of friends, the public forums, mirc and other places we have know as home is deeper than ever. He has shut down forums, dealers, and end users alike. Some of which were close friends of us all. If we are going to continue to enjoy this hobby and the friendships that we all have developed over the years, then think twice before you tip our hand to Dave. Those doing so hurt us all in the end. If I have convinced 1 person to think twice, then this post will have served its purpose. We are up against 2 things that I have seen change some good people into people I don't recognize anymore. Money and greed. I would like to thank the moderators here at PD for letting me use the forum to voice my opinion on the status of this once great hobby. And Risestar for making it available to all.

ricky,
you actually took time to sit at a keyboard and type that? Let us all apologize for the double post that has obviously wasted your valued time. If that is all you have to add is this, then we all know what the extent of your contribution to this hobby has been. Dribble, I'd love to see how you get your card working "ricky". I've been using the "RICKY67" script for years now. Let me be the first to thank you for all the free tv you have given us through your scripts and posts of wisdom. Thank you ricky for your contribution, thank you. Now that you have fallen off that soap, I have a suggestion as to what you can do with it. But I'll refrain because I know other members here will not let the opportunity pass. hehe!
