Ahoy, mateys!

The subject says it all:

Anyone know what receiver will EMULATE with DIGITAL AUDIO and HDTV video?

If no such receiver exists, anyone care to nominate the best receiver for HDTV AND EMULATION?

[And if anyone has any comments on X-Cube, that'd be appreciated, too]

Thanks, all!

You should check out the DTV1080 from Zenith... It just came out this past November and may be pretty hard to find but it is well worth it... Most of the other HD Set Top boxes seem to have been recently discontinued in preparation for new 2002 models which will have Firewire (and HD copy protection).

To my knowlege ALL HD receivers output digital audio. As far as I know, Most can emulate as long as an HU cam ID is used. The RCA DTC-100 receivers that were modified to prevent them from being updated can still use emulation with H card bins.

Well since you guy are discussing emu and HD ird's, i got one for ya. I have a DTC-100 I have been emulating with it for 3 months without a hickup. My cor has a HU zkt and cam, The problem I am having now, after upgrading to SLE36 is that I loose the locals after a few hours, I have the correct locals byte of 08, the guide byte is 01, i have my zip. But I loose the locals, the same setup works perfect on my 4th gen rca 222. This is really weird??
