i unplug mine when necessary... it doesn't clear everything though(locks/limits).

I know you can always unplug, but my tv is built into the wall and getting back to unplug is a pain in the rear. I have other receivers that if you prees a couple of buttons it will reboot. Anyone know how to do this on the RCA DTC-100, as the online manuals do not cover HD receivers..:gg

A little over a year ago I posted a mod for adding a reset switch to the DTC-100. You can do a search for it. All that is required is a tiny momentary spst switch from Radio Shack. I used the one that has a 3/16" mounting hole and drilled a hole in the back near the top.
Just ground one of the switch terminals and connect a short jumper fom the second switch terminal to a leg on the reset switch mounted in the middle of the main circuit board. If I remember correctly, that switch has four legs, two are grounded and you can solder to either of the other two. You cant hurt the receiver by connecting to either of the two wrong legs since they only go to ground.
The soldering can be accomplished from the top of the circuit board. The hardest part of this mod is removing and replacing all the screws holding the cover on!
