Has anyone ever agreed with the conditions?

Has anyone just agreed with the conditions of the letter and if so what was the monetary restitution or other cost. I've read all the other post. Just want to know if anyone settled.

Yes there have been several poor idiots who I guess, felt like they needed to confess to something and were happy to do that. I guess they really were doing something illegal but you should see what they agreed to. Seems to me they are probably bank robbers or murderers and they were relieved to confess to what they did, theft of TV. Or they are poor uneducated folks who did things themselves with no understanding at all of what they were doing. The DirecTV® lawyer probably bamboozled them.

They do not usually have the terms of settlement since they have a non disclosure as part of the deal but look at the permanent injunctions that the few people who did confess agree to. Look at numbers 300 and 301, 311 who are the ones who have confessed. I am told that in addition to the permanent injunction most of them agreed to $2000.00 damages, a premium subscription for a year and costs.

And all that without any valid evidence against them.

Now look down the list and see how many Judge Real acquitted for all kinds of reasons. Firstly he dismissed the RICO charges against all defendants as a group. All simply dropped and called invalid. Then he granted a TON of motions made by defendants to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction and also granted a bunch of motions for legal fees. These are all against DirecTV® without appearing and based on a written motion only. And he allowed this on the basis on one attorney making the motion for several defendants at the same time, in some cases. It seems nobody was convicted if they in any way opposed this.

That is where Judge ----ran Tevrizian who was DTV's dream lawyer recused himself from the case. That was the best thing that could possibly happen to defendants and Judge Real took over and has not ruled for DirecTV® since.

A few defendants lost by default (for IGNORING THE PROCEEDINGS, WHICH SHOULD NEVER BE DONE) and a large bunch of defendants had the whole thing dismissed completely which is an outright win. This judge is quite pissed at DirecTV® and has said that the case is frivolous in some cased and dismissed it.

Overall the ONLY way that DirecTV® have won anything is when people RUSH TO CONFESS. I guess these few people were stealing TV and felt the NEED to confess their sins and as a result have had a permanent injunction (LIFELONG) granted against them and damages indicated if they ever break the injunction in any way. In my view these people are either crazy or have no idea what they signed which is not that uncommon among illiterate people which some folks unfortunately are. I feel very sorry for those poor folk who probably have no idea what they signed. In saving a few dollars they negotiated themselves into an incredibly BAD position that no person with even a quarter of a brain would EVER put himself in. Really unfortunate and you can be SURE no lawyer was involved in those ones. Any lawyer who agreed to that because a person bought a programmer etc. would be DISBARRED in a FLASH :)
