The only reason I know I'm gonna hate W soon is the fact that he's going to be helping to make abortions illegal. And that is just plain wrong IMO.
I'm not republican for that very reason.

You are absolutly right joke'em. People who get full term abortions are sick in the head.
I'm talking about the the main pertentage of couples who can't handle a baby for varius reasons (finacial, drug related, rape, incest, etc, etc, etc.) If a woman is pregnant and finds out so, she should be able to make the chioce with her partner whether they are able to support it.
I don't want to make this personal, but say a woman close to you was raped and she became pregnant. You want her to have no choice but to give birth to that child? That's what "W" wants to make happen.
I hope that doesn't happen to anyone of course, just an example.

I respect a person a lot more no matter what his beliefs when he can hold a conversation without getting personal or disrespectful. Thank you for that joke'em.
With that said I do read a whole lot, and I know what they say...don't believe everything you read. Well I'm smart enough to know there won't be a ban on abortions of those types (rape, incest). Although, abortion is a big target for republicans. At the very least they want to limit what is legal for couples. And I just can't agree with that.
I would like to say to those who think I might be dumping on republicans, I'm really not. The abortion issue is really the only reason I'm not a republican. I'm a country boy, I love my guns, cars and bikes. Born in Texas, you kinda are brought up to love those things. I no longer live there but most of my family does.

i'm too simple for this conversation but .....
No Good honest human being will push his will on
anothers right to choose their own destiny. If you
can't tell "W" is a good honest man..
I am against abortion and if you must put a label on
me it would be republican yet i'm a good honest man
and know I have no right to impinge on your right to
choose provided it's not a second or third term abortion.
Haven't we had enough of the Clintons uncaring, me, then me,
then me again world.. I thinks it's time we all come
together and realize that differences should not divide
us to the point where we do nothing.
While we let the poison coming out of DC brainwash us
our leaders are (who have devised this poison for just
one reason) robbing us blind and making us think they
really care... This is the HOUSE of course.. I can
just imagine they sit in a room and say (Daschel) hey
man I need a new highway or rural developement project
to get re-elected. Sure my (Lott) buddy, we'll just tack
it onto this bill that i'm sponsoring for the lobby in my
state... Thanks (Daschel) Trent , boy these suckers really
think we want to do good with their money.. HA,HA,HA, woooo..
If you think i'm wrong you're sadly mistaken.. It's gone too
far and we need wholesale changes in the House and Senate to
get our voices back again..
We have a good and real guy in 'W' now all we need to do is
walk into the booth and vote for anyone that's not in office
now. It can't hurt.. We could just keep rotating the crooks
till we get some real honest people in there..
I'm a simple man who may not always have the right words to
say but I know that i'm a hundred percent right on this one.
we need to find that good ole PRINCIPLE and INTEGRITY and put
them in office..
Democrat or Republican we can get along and we can make a
difference together...
and yes I say integrity whilest I program my card... I hope
that's understandable to most...

Even though W isn't a favorite of mine, and I used to refer to him as the village idiot I give him credit for a couple things. He was smart enough to surround himself with good people. And with the tragedy that happened he's done about as good a job as could be expected. But even if the tali ban is completely wiped out if he can't prove that Bin Laden is dead people will say he didn't complete the job just like his daddy.
I'm really more of a moderate, like my guns, think we should close the border now, cut way back on foreign aid til we get our house in order. I believe in keeping abortion legal, and it probably will never be completely illegal.
But my biggest problem with the republicans are their pro big business stance. When Ronnie decertified the air traffic contollers union, he slapped every union member right in the face. Bottom line when ever politics is discussed it can get pretty ugly. So far it seems to be under control. :) :)

Wow.........How did the Bush-wacker, start the abotion debate? Since I do talk abortion, I say, It's between her and her doctor. Plain and simple. I am not a woman, so it's none of my damn business. Until a man can have a baby, he should not have any say so in the matter. If it was up to me, the world would be babyless. I don't love anyone enough to pass a bowling ball through my azz. The hell with that.
But again, I ask, What has this guy done? He wasn't even elected. Maybe next time people will see how IMPORTANT their vote really is.
If you don't get out and vote, you just might end up with this war mornger again, well maybe this time he just might be elected. But we must remember one thing, "All of us, including you, will suffer for many years to come with this guy in office".
He has, and will be chasing one person...Bin laden. Nothing else will he present to the country other than, "Let's bomb the evil dooers". What a legecy. And he wont even find Bin, he will just continue to run his mouth.
To be truthful, as bad and tragic as it was, I don't the the World Trade Crash had anything to do with America. It was payback to the Bush resigm. His Daddy had nothing to offer, unless it was rockets, bombs, and bullets. And look at the apple that fell from the tree. Rockets, bomb, and bullets. Nothing else, nothing more.
So again I ask, What has this guy done? I can't think of a single thing. At least his predesessor, was getting BJ's, talking sh*t, and running the country. And we all sould use one of them from time to time.

I just thought this would stir up the great minds in here. And I do know it can get hot talking politics....But hey, No one never said I didn't like it hot.
Plus, what are we to do this weekend? There is no FIX needed. There is no 3M needed. There is basically, no hashing, unless your EMU is not running, and that's not my fault. Since all the information to get up and running has been posted.
But I do admire the fact that many feel W has done something. Again, I don't know what....But at least many of you, do have feelings, and that is good.
Being neither a Democrat or republician, it doesn't matter, we are all doomed with what is presently in office. The sad part, many can't even see it, and don't even want to see it.
But hey, after all, This is still America, it just wont be the way it once was. And that's the sad part.
So, everyone have a wonderful weekend, and just think, Are you really safer than you were before?

It seems to me what bush has not done is a BIG improvment of some of our past leadership models. I.E. i don't think we have said sorry to the taliban for having to protect ourselfs. Didn't our former CNC appologize to Japan for us nuking them or am i confused as usual. I don't think we have offered to rebuild the taliban or there homes after we bombed them. Although i will admit he still has time to call Ben up and say "hey man sorry i broke your cave i'm sending in a team of engineers to dig you a new hole" and he has time left to try and redefine the terms --- and LIE for our future generations.
Just a thought from a confused mind. Oh as for abortion, every situation is different and the persons involved should decide, those being man & woman who did the deed.
Ok back to Vivid.

Im sorry to swing the subject a little bit...BUT.
Have you ever thought about what "YOUR"Government is doing that you know nothing about..now thats a very interesting subject.. The sr71 spy plane was first used in Vietnam ..It was in testing in the 60's .They didnt release to the public that they had it untill the mid 80's...Not to say all the covert operations that is going on all over the world right now...
The spy sattelite images..You can see a picture of your neighborhood from a sattelite on the web...think about what they can see ...I have a very good freind that was on the USS Kentucky..A nuclear attack sub..He was in charge of the guidance of the war heads..and knew there destination (To this day he still wont comment on that)But he said that some of the targets was very disturbing..but thats another story...the point is...
You never know for sure what any Government is doing...and Even after they get caught..you still dont know..and you never will..
I would be willing to bet...that if you knew everything that is going on in "your" government that you wouldnt sleep at night....
Sorry to ramble...just thought that I would throw in a twist to the conversation...

The only reason you arent Republican is because of abortion?? You are kidding, right? Nobody tried harder than the late former Gov Casey to make abortion illegal. (democrat)
Check out this article from Reuters:
Democratic Convention Honors Pro-Life Gov. Bob Casey
Bob and Pat Casey, sons of former Pennsylvania Gov. Robert Casey, a longtime pro-life champion, addressed the Democratic National Convention on Thursday - something their father was not allowed to do.
"Bob Casey was a proud, pro-life Democrat," Bob Casey Jr. told the convention at an afternoon tribute to their father. "He believed every life, born and unborn, is sacred. That's why he was a Democrat."
The convention showed a prepared video tribute to Casey that focused on the ups and downs of his political career and the top highlights along the way. Unfortunately, the video made no reference to Casey's pro-life views.
In 1992, the senior Casey, the governor of a key battleground state, was not allowed to speak at the Democratic National Convention in New York because of his insistence that he be given the chance to counter the party platform's blanket support for abortion.
In 1989, Casey signed a strong pro-life law regulating abortions that led to the Supreme Court case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The law contained an informed consent provision, a 24-hour waiting period, and mandated that minors receive parental consent before receiving abortions. The law resulted in a steady decline in the number of abortions in Pennsylvania.
Casey died in Scranton, Pennsylvania in May 2000 at the age of 68 from a long battle with various illnesses, including prostate cancer.
The Caseys have remained active in the Democratic party and have followed in their father's political footsteps with Bob Jr. serving as Pennsylvania state auditor and Pat currently seeking congressional office.
Earlier in the week, Patrick Casey, joined fellow pro-life Democrats at a reception in his father's honor. Hosting the party were officials from Democrats for Life of America - the national pro-life group - who said that their goal is to let like-minded Democrats know they have company.
"We are Democrats ...not Republicans in sheep's clothing as we've been accused. We have devoted our energies to this party, and we are not leaving." said Lois Kerschen, the president of the 300-member group.
In a party that touts diversity, Democrats who oppose abortion say they are still excluded, ignored and even bombarded with angry screams when they try to make their case.
A recent L.A. Times Poll found that 20% of those who identified themselves as Democrats disagreed with the statement: "No matter how I feel about abortion, I believe it is a decision that has to be made by a woman and her doctor." Other polls have shown that as many as 40% of Democrats take a pro-life position and that at least half of them support a ban on partial-birth abortions.

Is that necessarily bad? Should it be about religion (as in most Moslem countries) or blood ties (as in Congo or Rawanda) or the high philosophical ideals of isolationism (as Switerland) or the beauty of complete equality (as the Chi Coms)

First, Ronald Reagan never "decertified" a union. I assume that you are referring to the PATCO (Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization) strike in the early '80s. Not unlike many firefighters, police officers, etc., air traffic controllers must take an "oath" not to strike. This is because it puts "public safety" in jeopardy! I am a pilot, and I was flying every day during this time. I had two close friends that were both ATCs at the same facility during this time. They stayed out on strike for several weeks ignoring warnings from the White House to return to work or else ....! Military Controllers had to be redistributed among civilian facilities to ensure safety. Many ATC facilities were closed and remain closed to this day. Finally, one weekend Reagan issued PATCO an ultimatum telling them that whoever was not back at work on Tuesday morning is fired! One of my friends returned to work, one did not. The one that did not will tell you to this day that it was the biggest mistake that he ever made! If Ronald Reagan made a mistake, it was in not firing them on the first day that they went out on strike! Once you break an oath, you cannot "unbreak" it! ATCs make EXTREMELY good money for the hours/effort of their work. I guess the moral to story is ... "If you're not prepared to uphold an oath, don't make it!"
October 22, 1981:
* The U.S. Federal Labor Relations Authority votes 2-1 to decertify the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) as bargaining representatives of air traffic controllers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration.
My mistake, it wasn't Ronnie.

The truth will soon be known about the W.
Isn't fun when one can express their views during the week, and work together on the weekends for a fix?
But I have to admit...People want to make W so right and correct. Up standing...Basically, the I don't sh*t, f*ck, or f*rt crowd. The flag waiving, hide behind patratism, idiology.
Yes, I served my time in War, but the people I was dropping sheels on, were't the real enemy.
If you only look at what your fine friendly government is getting ready to do to you, you wont be so acceptance of this so-call, not elected president.
Your rights will never be the same. Your country will never be the same. But as long as we did it for W, then it's OK....
Another thing to think about, Is this Americas War, or is this W's War? Remember, his daddy had a war too. Think about it before you answer.

President Bush's newly aggressive anti-drug policy, which links casual drug use to terrorism
I guess he was a Terrorist, when he was sucking up cocaine in his nose.
Everytime I blaze up a phat one, I will think of how dangerous I am to the nation. And if I twist up that blunt, I just know I am a danger to mankind.
What an idoit.....

I am just dying to hear what Mr. Bush had to do w/ Enron.
It had everything to do w/ Enron and their mgmt., not G.W.
So if you have something on Bush lets hear it, or are you just blowing smoke like every liberal... always the victim of someone elses wrongs...Let's hear what ya got!

Just what I thought, all smoke and hot air no facts... Is that the best anyone can come up w/? The smoking gun is a bunch of shredded documents, the contents of which are unknown. Maybe we should lobby to impeach Bush and get Gore in office on the basis of this Enron scandal. You sound like Puffy Daschle, shallow rhetoric signifying only your ability to try and discredit the other without any point of view to put forward which offers any viable solutions.
Here is a clue for all those liberals out there, I like living in a place where we have the lifestyle which we earn, and in which my benefit is not used to benefit every other person in the country by providing food, healthcare, retirement pay, wages without work, and anything else which assumes that certain Americans have less of a chance to achieve their goals, and as such, must be supported by the rest of us. If that is what interests you, there are many countries throughout the world that will afford you that lifestyle... I suggest you go so any one of them and stay there.
Most intelligent people I know who voted for Gore, since 9/11, have realized that the day Bush was inaugurated was the luckiest day for the U.S. in a very long time. Look at the Clinton administration's foreign Policy and defense dept. appointees vs. that of the current Bush administration, (and by the way any self respecting Liberal will not even mention the AG position for another couple of years. The behavior, and incompetence of Janet Reno is one of the most disguisting chapters in American law enforcement in a recent history.

What happen to a balanced budget? Looks like Bu$h is about to let him and his rich friends have the money now, let future presidents worry about how to pay things in days to come. I wonder who will have to raise taxes to pay for the mess that he has created.
Comment: With regards to the gentleman who mention that the Nasdaq could forsee the recession. I believe that the consensus was that if George W would get in as president, the Nasdaq would suffer because more people would pull there money and invest it in Bu$h stocks.... what are they... Drugs, Tabacco, Oil, Pharmaceuticals... Oh and how about Military?
I could go on and on... but with my parents being retired and of course looking towards it myself.... What happen to the social security lock box?

Fight over a politician.....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
A good conversation goes a long way, that's about the size of it. People don't really take politicians seriouly, do they?
A lying breed like never before. That's like taking a lawyer seriously. Yea, right. You pay a lawyer to lie. Your politicians will do it, just because it comes natural. But they were lawyers to, at one time.
CubsFan...glad you got your sllep-ckhreerk working.

I had no idea that was G.W.'s ad. It might be, but I saw no massage saying "This advertisement brought to you by George Bush". I agree it was a stupid commercial, but is everything wrong in the world today the fault of GW?

Finally, someone who dislikes FDR... That is the only president that literally wore out his welcome, and he was the only handi-prez... yeah, ok, lets elect corky thatcher for prez, then keep him around for say until he dies.
old people can work until they die, if they can't work, they can die.
