Never been on this forum before, but I thought while I was here for my prob only time in a while, I'd let ya'll in on a few secrets for starchoice-
1. To pay only half of your regular bill-
Say you'd like to have a starchoice system at another house i.e.-girlfriends, parents, brothers, etc. Before or after you subscribe, inform the dealer you buy the dish from you'd like to have a second receiver set up at you cottage (which is free of charge, of course, maybe except for the new 4.99 charge, not sure if it applies in this situation). The "cottage"is your girlfriends, parents, brothers, etc. Now you can have two receivers set up, the second (I think) free of charge. Then, the people who live at the different houses split the bill 50/50 (except for ppv's purchased individually). Now, you can get/afford the 69.99 package, as you only pay half (35 dollars). Hope that one is helpful :)
2. Get the most expensive package, paying for the least expensive package (no illegaly operations occur! :) )-
First, you call up, and subscribe to absolutely everything! :D
then, the next day, unplug the "SAT IN" wire from your receiver call back Starchoice, and say you'd like the bronze package(I think 15$ a month, if you get problems from the c.s. rep., tell them it's your moeny thats on the line, not their's). Now that your receiver is unplugged, it won't receive the update. Leave the receiver unplugged for the full 48 hours/2 days. NOTE: MAKE SURE you take the wire out of the "SAT IN" spot, or else this won't work. Have fun, and enjoy getting cheaper TV that's in the grey area, not illegal. :) :D
