"The former reeve of Hope Township"
What is a reeve?

a reeve is an elected official... it kinda works like this:
Mayor and council -- town
they report to/answer to
Reeves -- township (which is a series of towns in your area that will make up a County)
they report to/answer to
County councillors -- County of a given province
this is a simplistic explanation... but as close as I can get this late at nite :)

Hi Captbly,
A Reeve is a city councillor in a very small town. It has no importance here.
Ian is hoping to get a ruling from the Manitoba case and take that one forward. Every case including mine has a 2b argument (Constitutional argument) attached as that has to be requested of the attorney general and given in at the time you are before the court. If you are found not guilty on the interpretation then the judge does NOT rule on the Charter since your rights are NOT infringed.
Those charged under the RC Act may now be sent back to the original court for a ruling on the charter if the case was appealed and is still open. If it was not further appealed like the case of Dawn Branton then she is discharged and its over. But the law still infringes here rights so she can go BACK to the court as can every Canadian.
The first case to wind through the court system with a win in all lower courts will be heard by the Supreme Court who will make the final determination. That's the process.
Naturally we try to get the BEST cases to go forward.http://www.legal-rights.org/images/ttrk.gif

Not sure if this applies here but has anybody thought to manufacture fake/cheap DTV look-alike dishes to mount on their homes? Perhaps you could litter the neighborhood with them... one on the dog house, one on the tool shed.... a couple on the cars out back. Might be fun.

Ya might even hang the laundry between them!
Which one is real and which one is Memorex ?
I'm sure they could be reproduced out of plastic pretty cheap.
I like the hide em under a rock idea myself though.
