Many of us have been slightly hesitant as to whether or not money is being sent to the proper place in regards to the upcoming Supreme Court Case.
So I have personally contacted Mr. Angus's office and received the attatched email from him directly..

Thank you for your telephone call offering a donation to assist with the legal costs of challenging the constitutionality of the Radiocommunication Act, s. 9(1)(c).
We would be pleased to accept your donation payable to Ian W. M. Angus, in trust. These funds will be placed in a segregated trust account and used only to defer the legal costs which will be incurred regarding the Charter issue, which was not dealt with by the Supreme Court in its decision.
Our address is:

Port Hope, Ontario

Please spread this message for this is one fight we need to win.

Correct the lawyer in Ontario is
Alan Gold, who has filed for THE CHARTER CHALLENGE and has received the STAY OF ENFORCEMENT.
Professionally speaking all donations should be made payable to a an IN TRUST ACCOUNT. The TRUST will govern what the funds may or may not be used for. Still looking into legal-rights.org TRUST, to clear up the air for some dealers. Maybe TTRK can point me to the TRUST?
Some dealers are having issues with legal-rights.org
Now is not the time to debate the issues, now is the time to donate and support the cause. So all I have done, is given an alternative so that people cannot no longer make EXCUSES not to donate ;)

what dealers? Its an excuse like the last time for them to sit back and not send a dime. You know what? If GS2 or TTRK want to use my money and go get sh!tfaced after a day of court then I give them permission. If they want to go buy a lobster dinner with a bottle of Dom after a win then they have my permission with my money. The thing you people are not getting through your heads is it really does not matter where the hell the money goes if they buy a meal, or buy a room to sleep in. The fact of the matter is without them there would have not been this website or this industry which everyone has taken for granted up until now. Who reall gives a sh!t what it was spent on as long as the lawyers got paid and the end result is what it is?? If they manage to pull off an injunction on Friday I really don't care if my money is used to fund a weekend in Vegas for those guys.. you know what? they deserve it. Because then everyone who opens their doors Monday morning OWES their business to them. Just because they may have a vested business interest in this also does not negate the fact everyone else swims along side like leeches. If they just stopped and said 'you know what.. I've had it with all the work and I am not going to do this anymore' what would everyone do??? To everyone that doubts them, how about you set up an organization and go down to the courthouse and file your own case and ask for cash daily. This is NOT the time to start fragmenting what used to be a very close-knit community with their eye on one purpose.

Oh, don't get me wrong with my post..
I'm 100% behind you and as TTRK knows the legal-rights.org link and logo were always on my page.
I am getting tired of the excuses of not to donate.
Too many of us have taken things for granted, as well as the attitude of 'its not my problem I will let someone else take care of it for me'
Well guess what, Friday I think will be a HUGE reality check for many of us.
How many of us have lawyers on retainer???? Probably very few, why, because GS2 and TTRK, have been doing the battle for us...
But some unfortunately have personal problems, so all I am trying to say is put it aside and if you cannot then donate directly to the lawyers themselves, but donate YOU MUST... PERIOD.
Lets now end this thread, and get the donations coming in...

Agreed.. Friday will be an important day for all of us. Sorry to misconstrue your post but I have read a few dealers questioning TTRK and hadn't said anything. I can see now you are just trying to eliminate one more dealer excuse.

Very rarely can people not at least take the time to WRITE to their MP's.......MLA's.......the Prime Minister and a vast majority of others. This is an issue that I have also heard every excuse under the sun as to why they can't donate or get involved.
All I can say to that is BULL! I for one, am also tired of hearing excuses. No more, if you choose not to donate then fine. DOn't come crying to me when your rights as a Canadian are gone, because I am not in the mood to listen to it. At least take the time to write letters, tell everyone and their dog what is happening under our noses. Inform and EDUCATE people about what is happening.
Every donation no matter how large or small helps. Its one more dollar that can be used to fight this battle. Court systems are long, tedious and costly...more so than I ever want to experience again. (non-related) Lawyers don't come cheap, and if they do they will not be effective. You need many man-hours and large amounts of research, especially the higher in the system you go. The time alone is mind boggling, not including all other incurred expenses.
We have some exceptional people who have set up a place that is honest and truthful as to where money goes. There is no SCAM, no rip-off's, and this wouldn't be supported by the community as a whole if it was. How often do you hear that legal-rights is a rip-off? Maybe one or two missinformed members might spew crap, but generally you go to any site and you will see all mods/admins/and members supporting what TTRK/GS2/and others are doing.
It's time to buck up and do what is right...and in your hearts I think most know what is the right thing to do....So, what are you waiting for?

I have heard every excuse possible.. there is no excuse.
We had made available for people to donate to lawyers in trust on the Supreme court challenge and they didn't donate or use the alternative.
Its just plain Bull S h * t
We have asdked for donations to legal- rights now but it does not *stop* anyone from sending funds directly to lawyers in trust.
Ian Angus has and is a Piller of strength for the community. He Has been tremendus.
However Ian was asked if he wanted to participate on the recent Injunctions and he chose not to.
He might have been too busy dealing with ongoing cases he handles.
Again the ways to donate is all Kaka and everyone who is using legal-rights as an excuse can simply send their funds to the lawyers.. however based on history they simply do not donate.

Hopefully Sirjohna's new site will help cut this nonsense.....as you said there is NO excuse. If you are a member of this community, there is no reason not to donate especially the dealers. I just sent more than I can afford, but this is important....i'll just go without my beer for awhile...small price to pay to protect my rights...

kalyna,
you should go back and edit your post so that you delete the info out of it. Sending the funds to Angus does not seem like the right thing.

Well after meeting with Alan Gold yesterday and listening to him have grown that much wiser.
Alan Gold IN TRUST is were the money should be going to, for his team is fighting the Charter of Rights Issue.
NOW LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT. The issue they are going to be fighting for so we all understand is the RIGHT for us Canadians to be able to SUBSCRIBE to foreign signals.
So in a nutshell this means to make GREY market Legal here in Canada.
What does this mean right now. Right now both Grey and Black market, based on Supreme Court ruling is illegal, injunction is just delaying the Law from being enforced for now.
Should we win the Charter Battle, BLACK MARKET will still remain ILLEGAL. Are you listening people, either way BLACK MARKET will be ILLEGAL.
Its the GREY Market issue that is being fought for. For many this may be NOT what you want to hear, but after reading so many GARBAGE posts about BLACK market I think most better get a reality check.
There IS NO arguement for BLACK MARKET that will be going before the SUPREME COURT. If the Charter issue is won, that means it will be legal in Canada to Subscribe to foreign signals, making Black Market clearly illegal.
