wow, havent seen results this one-sided in awhile...this could really hurt the liberals politically if its made an issue (which you know it will be) in the next election. 1 million votes for the canadian alliance right off the bat.;)

Chretien is in Spain this week so he's not even in the country right now. But I can think of a few groups who probably dont want to see unlimited access to US signals. Like the employees of MTV Canada, TVLand Canada etc etc.

Hi People,

The number of voters keep going up while the results remain much the same. In fact the number of people who have voted yes has decreased by 1% and we now seem to get the result of a 99% total rather than 100%.

This is a result that I would have expected especially that we have 5% who are indifferent to the issue. The numbers are quite clearly in favor of people having the right as we should in a democracy.

Hi Parbinthere.

No unfortunately courts don't give a crap what the public wants as there job is strictly to rule on their interpretation of the law books. But you cannot blame the court, that's correctly what they do.

There IS a very useful way to use this poll however and I have already sent it off to the Alliance party to show them just how important an issue this is. When I did that there were 14 330 votes or so with only 10% for and 85% against prohibiting US broadcasts. I am sure it will be much better (more people) when they look at it tomorrow. This type of a poll can be very useful to us and may finally get the opposition interested in Questioning the Government on it. Frankly its about time they got on board.

So we will use it to good effect and I sure hope it stays up for a while. It would be superb if it did stay and the figures continued to climb. 85% is a real landslide and these are passionate viewers who really are annoyed at the government.

This can go a long way to helping us if we can just use it properly. I save the entire page often on my computer so I do have it to show if they go off air with it. This poll can be really important to us for applying whatever political influence the opposition can muster.http://www.legal-rights.org/images/ttrk.gif
