A poll would be easier to keep track of...
Leno
Jay Leno seems more like a real person to me. And I like the fact he's in the same state as me.
Thanks goes out to DAVE (not Letterman) for giving me the east coast feed so I can watch both at different times if I want:)

Jay Leno on the way! Watch the show every night,
the show have better skits and I love the Jay-walking segments.
Letterman is boring and he's a geek, LOL.

Wow, I thought we'd get more participation than that. I guess most people don't really care.

Dave gets the creativty but Leno wins overall hands down. How many times can you watch Letterman make the same old tired facial expressions?

F&*k letterman, my vote's for Leno. Used to be a big fan of L, but he dissed a guess badly years ago(some poor old man slob), and I gave up on him.
Also, used to work for a tabloid tv program, and have had the displeasure of meeting that ----- numerous times, and he's a prima donna like that other a**hole that comes on after him.
Never met Leno, but he comes across as a decent fella.

I have met Leno and see him on occasion at a local motorcycle hangout. Very down to earth and very much a people person.
P.S. That had no influence on my vote. Leno is different every nite. Letterman is like watching a re-run.

Always figgured him for a humble guy.
Hey, how come no one mentioned Carson Daly(sp)? Bad host, but another down to earth guy.

Primodonna; see my post above. I think he may have changed since coming out of the ghetto of comedy channel onto network tv

Letterman would be so much better if he didnt insist on talking to Paul Shaeffer every bloody second...
If we're gonna include others, I think Conan O'Brien is pretty good, especially when they do the mouth over the face gag. It's hysterical

Its hard to say who is better, You have to consider this..
For years Letterman was able to hold his own on NBC, His show was sorta Zanny and funny.. Such as throwing flaming sacks of flour off the roof of NBC studios.. Paul has always sucked, but back in the day they had good musical guests.. Sadly however as dave has gotten older, his sence of humor has aged aswell.. I think his target audiance is the 36-43 ages?..
Leno however really didnt earn his stripes, Carson (jonny) had one of the best shows of all time, he retired and handed the flame to Jay.. However if Leno had tried to build his own late night show up from nothing.. He'd still be doing stand-up.
*Makes a stupid face, says "Whoa" and throws a little blue card threw the window*
