IMHO, everyone should be canceling their subs, Im not only talking Bell'Vu, but cancell you cell phones with bell,land line,EVERYTHING..

I would also stay away from rogers if possable as far as cable,cellphones, and internet service goes.. At&t is out due to the rogers/cantel/at&t aliiance in bc....

These companys are behind alot of things that suck, Such as much music and alot of other BAD canadian content..

Beachcombers. Poor ole 'Relic'. I don't disagree that the CanCon is absolutely crap, and the Canadian 'networks' carry all American programming anyway. One of the reasons why we should be allowed to watch what we want, from who we want.

Not sure about the whole communications thing though, without Bell, Rogers, AT&T, etc. that pretty much sums up our communication system, at least where I live.

Cancelling your bell sub wont get your freedom to make decisions back. not even half of one percent of bell subscribers are even registered in these forums anyway, so your message falls on deaf ears bro. peace.

A lot of the people I work with (I work at a car dealership in Toronto), have both the grey market and the expressvu dishes at home. I have to hear about all of the Yankee programming (such as the Osbournes) that I couldn't watch up here at the time.

It's king of silly of Bell making me buy a music pack just to get MTV. Same with our local news outlet "CP24", they make me buy the whole news pak because they won't offer the channel seperate.

I thought when I moved from cable to dish, that I would be away from this monoponol bullcrap. But as they say, there is more choice with the dish... Now, for VU they charge 4.99 - 7.99 for VU that is beamed into your home anyways.

What happens if I never plug my receiver into the phone line? :Z

Where I live, there is only on option for the telephone. The other 2 options are not quite as reliable as a land line phone.

As for the DSS: A customer of mine is bartering them for $450 worth of work. Is that a good price?
