I live in Red Deer, Alberta and was told that there is a DTV bird for Alaska. I'm wondering if I'm too far away to try and point at it. If I'm not would anyone know what the coordinates would possibly be from say Edmonton. Thanks in advance.

Did you hit the satellite and were you able to get all of the channels? What size dish did you use?

I can hit the bird towards the southern 48 states without a problem. I'm wondering if the people in alaska point at a different satellite. If so can we point at it also from where we are. I'm using a 24' in Red Deer.

Check out lyngsat.com. There is no DTV satellite at 148.
