Hello to all I just got a letter from some lawyers firm stating that it "represents directv and they have on record that i purchase theft equipment to gain unauthorized access to directv and they will forgo litigation if i give up my access card and and signal theft devices or a written statement to the effect that i will not purchase or use any illegal signal devices"...so i'm wondering how did they get my name and address?....has anybody got this type of letter please reply!

I want to thank thepoet and TTRK for the link and i read all the stuff concerning the letters and I see that DTV don't really have a leg to stand on with this issue I canned the letter, i've donated to the cause once again it's worth it we must stick together against DTV
AND THERE'S BOGUS LAYWERS!

I don't think the concensus is to can the letter, but instead to talk to a lawyer.
