Your story does sound a little fishy.

You just found this site?
You bought something with YOUR credit card for someone
you did not know there last name?
Rethink your story,
If you indeed don't have any equipment in your house
to steal DIRECTV, AND YOU PAY YOUR BILL,
and you do not hack your cards The person who sent you that letter
has a lot of work to prove you done anything illegal.

If all they have for evidence is the shipping info and the credit card info, then I do not think they can win, but it costs money to defend it. I am not sure if you would want to defend this yourself, but that is an option, but one I do not suggest.

There are many other things that they may or may not have to support their claim. Until you know all of the evidence they have, I do not think you can make an informed decision.

Read all the threads here and see just what others have had done etc. Tehn choose the path you feel is best.

Hi nocards,

I realize this is making you very nervous but it does that to many who do not admit to it either.

If you have really done nothing wrog yourself, then I recommend you contact a lawyer in your state or Mr. Zacharian who can negotiate for you no matter where you live. See the information posted at:

http://www.legal-rights.org/uslawyer.html

While your story may well be true, its not all that convincing the way you state it. They really do not have any proof other than totally circumstantial but you will need to counter that too. By stating that you have 3 systems, 2 of which are Ultimate TV you do not exactly make the best case for stating that you are broke. So you may want to get your at together and try to form a more compelling argument or hire a lawyer who can do that for you.
There does need to be an element of believability to what you sayhttp://www.legal-rights.org/images/ttrk.gif

There is also a lot of information regarding this issue that you can look at on the site at;
