The PACER service provides information re. cases amd motions but as best as I can determine provides little usefull information as regarding specifics. Are the actual documents available available at the Federal District Court records rooms ?
We need information from those who are already in the system.
Your anonimity can be protected if you take simple precautions.
Goto your local library and create a yahoo mail account.Logon here using that account and tell your story in as much detail as possible without revealing particulars as to your identity. There is no way that they can trace this back to you unless you live in Podunk Iowa and you are the only one indicted within 50 miles.
We need to know what is happening in the courts from those who are actually there.
If you care about freedom, if you care about more than free tv, if you care about how the internet has connected us all together and how it can be so easily repressed by those with deep pockets, please do your part.
Feel free to tear this proposition apart if you see a flaw in my reasoning.

Actually the new website for Sat Law is being finished up right now.

TTRK spoke about this website a couple of weeks ago.

www.satlaw.org is the site, DNS hopefully will be done by the morning.

Remember this site is for helping people with legal information, this will not show "testing" methods.

Unfortunately this seems to depend on the court and the jurisdiction that it is in. For instance in the case of Canal + v NDS there is a great deal of info and each docket entry gives a link to an actual document. So you can see all the filings.

But in most of the courts there is no link and there is only a brief recap.

I would like to show people what happened if they are a real person and they do not deal with this. DirecTV® is getting default judgements against people.

For example here is one docket entry:


DEFAULT JUDGMENT by Judge Susan R. Bolton granting motion
for default judgment against Ken DeForest by pla Directv
Inc [13-1], granting motion for attorneys' fees and
statemente of costs by pla Directv Inc [18-1] to dismiss
case; judgment is entered against dft Ken Deforest on all
counts in the complaint; pla is awarded statutory damages
against dft Ken Deforest in the sum of $79,000.00; pla is
awarded its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs in the
sums of $8,554.50 and $551.93, respectively, incurred
through today's date; dft Ken Deforsets and his employees,
agents, servants, successors and assigns are permanently
enjoined from committing or assisting in the commission of
any violation of the Cable Communications Policy Act of
1984, as amended; see, 47 USC section 605(a); that interest
on the monies awarded herein to pla against dft Ken
Deforest shall accrue at the legal rate from the date of
entry of judgment until paid in full; the Court having
found no just reason for delay, expressly directes that
this default judgment be entered at this time as a final
judgment (cc: all counsel/jgm drawer) (ld)



In this case they got a $79,000.00 Judgement and big legal costs too. This is because this person did not appear but I have a suspicion that no such person exists or the person does not care at all. Remember they cannot get blood from a stone and while they have a judgement they may never be able to exercise it or the person will go bankrupt or the person does not exist and its a phony name.

One ONEROUS thing is that they are starting to include WIVES too. There will be an entry for James Greenwell and one for wife Jane Doe Greenwell also. Now what the HELL would a wife know about this and why should she be listed in a civil suit where they have no proof. They seem to be stretching even further to do harm.

It also appears that virtually none of the civil suits have come to completion and so there is little other than the docket. PACER is the government itself and they have a little racket going and charge 7 cents per page for public documents. But it is the convenient way to get these and I have to assume that there will be a ruling available once a case is OVER.

PACER is = The PACER Service Center is the Federal Judiciary's centralized registration, billing, and technical support center for electronic access to U.S. District, Bankruptcy, and Appellate court records

So it is some kind of government organization. And I can believe that since they would ONLY send my password via snail mail which took several weeks to get. No commercialism there :)

Yet in the California case its all there. I think most courts do not do electronic filing yet which must be by way of Adobe PDF files for all documents.

You are very welcome and its my pleasure to help where I can.

Just so people know the http;//www.satlaw.org site is up and in action and while its still under construction its one more site to assist the satellite community in legal information.

CONGRATULATIONS to BLCJET who is building the new site along with our old friend Falcon50. We wish them the VERY BEST and know that the site will be different and present a FRESH NEW idea of the best way to help everyone in this community. The more exposure we get the more people may KNOW just how these mega corporations and the Canadian government are not helping the people and in fact seem to be acting ONLY in the assistance of these Mega corporations.

I am anxiously looking forward from many of the new and interesting ideas to come on this new site. We now have three sits that are dedicating to assisting the satellite community and this is good news for us all. Two of them are still under construction so we have a lot to look forward to. Hopefully we will be able to make the public at large more knowledgeable about the Canadian Governments trying to prosecute Canadians who believed they were acting lawfully and the two major corporations, Bell ExpressVu and DirecTV® who both seem to be dedicated to harming rather than helping this community in any way. Intimidation letters and threats seem to be the specialty of DirecTV® and BEV seem to want to change the law without parliament doing so while then acting to sell the Amercian receivers declared illegal in Canada to their profit.

The more help we have in this battle the better and with any luck at all many more people will now become aware of what is happening.
