It is becoming quite apparent that we in the United States are losing more of our freedom each day. It used to be Innocent until proven guilty, now it's getting to be guilty until you prove yourself Innocent. The Attorneys for DirecTV do not want to here any explanations about why you purchased the equipment. They are not technical enough to know the difference anyway. You only have two options settle with a monitary amount going to DTV or they will take you to court, where you have to prove you didn't steal their signal. They get to ride on, we have invoices from these internet vendors that you purchased this equipment. The burden of proof should be with DTV and their Attornies not with the letter receiptant. As we all know the equipment is legal to have, I believe it should be up to them to prove you used it illegaly. I have 2 subscribed HU cards, the equipment I purchased will not program these cards. The Idea that I downed my subcription because I could clean the pay preview areas do not apply. I reduced the subcription because we weren't watching those channels. It's all about the money, they know if your receiver is not calling in. Why don't they send you a letter stating it must be pluged in or they will discontinue service. They won't do that because of their bottom line. In the mean time it adds to their piracy problem. I think the cases inprogress right now will determine how they will proceed, and right now they're trying to settle as many as possible just incase it doesn't go they're way.
