Hi Everyone,
I have an important “OFFICIAL MESSAGE” from the Charter Challenge Satellite COMBINED group and we are all fighting for the striking of the law as ruled by the Supreme Court of Canada on Satellite under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This will argue that our RIGHTS are infringed under section 2B of the Charter, which they clearly are. This is probably our last MAJOR effort in that if we win this then things will return to similar to the way they were BEFORE the Supreme Court Ruling of April 26th this year. ALL CANADIANS WIN!! Here is what is happening and WHEN.
New Court Schedule for Ontario Charter Challenge!
Major Dates:
We have to have all of our material in support of the application served by July 31, 2002.
Then the intervenors (Bell ExpressVu) have until August 7, 2002 to respond with their attack of our affidavit.
Then we have until August 28, 2002 to serve our response to the intervenor’s motion.
The intervenor’s motion, if it is brought, will be argued on September 3, 2002. If there is no motion the next case conference will be on November 4, 2002.
As well we have Paul Fitzgerald from the Congres Iberoamerican du Canada intervening on our behalf. The Congres’ intends to defend the rights of the Spanish-speaking community in Canada.
It is very important to remember that we have set up a PayPal account to collect donations towards the legal fund for the Charter Challenge. This PayPal account may be accessed on

But this HAS to be WON and YOU can assist by making a donation, large or small and doing your part to help support this battle. Divided we fall, but UNITED we CAN WIN!!!
