Have a a buddy that is affraid to put up a dish.
Says that express puke has a van that rides around with equipment that can tell that your recieving channels that your not supposed to get.Also can tell if or not your watching dTvee.
Says he seen it work.

No way. He may be thinking about cable leaks (unauthorized cable taps), which they can detect through degraded signals, but there is no way to tell from the street if any particular dish is actively receiving a signal. Besides, just because a dish is up on a house doesn't mean the homeowners have a receiver....

Navy, eh? :D I wanted to join, and almost signed the papers. I wanted to be a machinist/machinist's mate, either be on a sub (only God knows why) or on a carrier. They wouldn't commit to training me in that field, so I never joined. One of those "I almost..." ;) I work in an RF-related field, and almost all of our good techs came out of the Navy. They train 'em well....

dude...don't worry...it's just me riding around in the van...I'm lookin' fer goats!! The equpiment is just fer trackin' dem dar goats...y'know they run fast when spooked, so i drive real slow. Sometimes i stop in front of a house, cause someone is eating goats...(i know who you are too...) Ask yer friend if he's seen green hair...LMFAO!!

They have been listening to the Brits to much,the old Van that used to drive around to detect if people were watching TV without a License.
Darn, we are lucky,you gotta buy a License to watch even regular TV in the UK. :eek:

Well don't know about Canada but basically all they can detect in the UK is if your TV is turned on.
Seeing that you need a License to even have a TV then they can say that you was watching..lol According to them..:eek:

Some of the cable companies in the States claim that "Leaking Cable Signals" interfere with the Coast Guard communications ! I have a friend in Iowa who had a cable leak and the cable company came to his house (out in the middle of a corn field) and told him about the "interferance" he asked were the nearest Coast Guard base was, The reply was the Gulf coast ! Im not 100% sure but isn't that a few 1000's miles away ??? Weird !

LOL ask about the time I accidently blacked out the San Diego airport!!I got hammered in San Diego during a stop-over by my ship!!I was in the Navy and during the night they moved my ship to make room for another vessel..During the move they turned my ship around facing San Diego..Well I did a system check/power output on my radar system..I won't go into the details, but apparently it's powerful enough to blackout the airport for 26 sec..The FCC report made the rounds to all the ships asking about what maintaince was performed during that day..Luckily I forgot to file my report and chamged the day..No one was killed in the air ..Too close
