hi all. i didnt pay much attention to others posting about thier letters because i didnt think i would ever get one.thats what i get for thinking i guess.i got one today.its been a couple of years since i ordered anything, I only ordered from vector technologies and white viper. I got a letter today that was sent to a rental unit of mine and forwarded to my current address. Disregard the letter? How long have people been disregarding their letters and any reprecusions? Thinking of subscribing tonight .....never have subbed.....been doing this approx four years.....but that way i would have a legit reason for pan on side of house. Any feed back would be helpful.

Read, they are many cases, I wouldn't subscribe for any reason, they are extorting money from the guilty and taking the innocent with them. Talk to a lawyer and decide what is best for you!

Not smart to disregard because they are taking people to court, make your decision that applies to you, see a lawyer and talk with him about what is best in your case, if your gonna fight them, then disregard the letter and wait for your summons!

The only ones saying to ignore it are the idiots who did not get one yet, but they WILL. Maybe they think if they say it enough it will happen that way.

People ANYONE and EVERYONE who bought from a site that was raided and where they have the info WILL GET ONE.

And if you purchased ANYTHING, even a power supply or cables from them, expect a letter.

Instead of having these people continue to say forget it, the best thing people can do is take steps to minimize their exposure.

Having a sub is a KILLER since they can monitor that and calculate if you did not buy PPV. If you have a full sub and did not buy PPV then you are cooked and they will say that is what you stole.

If you have a dish and a DISH NETWORK subscription you are in much better shape since a DISH RECEIVER cannot receive DirecTV® and how could you steal their signal if you cannot receive it.

Its time to stop the silliness and think they only go after dealers. Dealers just pop back up with some one else operating them so they are and DO go after END USERS. They are serious about this but most people have a good defence since they have no real evidence unless you cancelled a sub, or reduced it when you bought a product. Failing that there is little evidence of any "theft" and most courts will not rule for them based on a flimsy invoice for a lawful product.

But DO take it seriously because it is happening.

LOOK into it and what can be done to fight them or plan a strategy to settle. That will cost $3500.00 for ONE DEVICE and it goes UP from there.

Most people can win but all litigation is costly and THAT IS PRECISELY what they are counting on. You need to decide if you will pay or fight, especially the many who are guilty of NOTHING. Many folks who needed a ISO-7816 READER simply typed that into a search engine and 80% of the results they got were DSS sealers. And the prices were great. So they bought.
