What usally happens after the second letter??? Is the next step a summons for court??? How does Dave get a default on you??? after you fail to show up at a summons?? just a few questions to see what lies for most of us one day.

This has been answered 100 times but here it is one more time.

After the second letter, and an appropriate wait for response, they FILE SUIT against you.

If you do not respond to that they IMMEDIATELY ask the court for a default judgement and I they have waited the appropriate amount of time THEY GET IT and its game over.

They may not exercise the judgement right away but one day they will POUNCE. Usually they get defaults for $10,000 and UP plus court costs in around $800.00. I have seen default judgements for as much as $70,000.00 but that is where there were many devices purchased.

But if you are not there to defend yourself, why should the court care how much its for.
