Hi, does anyone know if the ruling by Judge Real in the California Central district court will affect future cases in this district? People in this district, which includes a lot of major cities, are still receiving letters from Dave.
TIA for any info on the possible ramifications of the dismissal for people who have received the letter in the same district.

I meant the dismissal of the case against 80 defendants and the denial of Directv's appeal.

From what I have read it wont affect because there wasn't any Judgment. The case was thrown out because Dave tried to sue people that were out of the Jurisdiction of that court. Although there were some who were clearly in the jurisdiction, but I guess the Judge thought jurisdiction problem was too big to let the case go on. I think the case even evolved people being sued that were in Canada which clearly is not in the jurisdiction of the court in California. I think Dave thought it would be nice if they made a bunch of people go 5000 miles to get sued. Now that's why end users are getting sued in there local area by attorneys that work with the out of state law office that originally sent the letters out. My attorney said you have to be sued where you are alleged of braking the laws so if you live in NY and Dave says you used the device in NY then you get sued in the nearest Federal Court. If im wrong on this please correct me thanks.
