"Game Over" as they said. Cards rendered useless to the user and to DTV. They are now garbage.. Did DTV take steps to reclaim these cards or were they abondoned to the public domain?
Does it then become a "Fair Use" issue in reviewing the code of abondoned and otherwise useless technological measure?
If not abondoned then, is not DTV responcible to collect and properly dispose of this garbage or are they just ignoring the hazardious waste aspect of there product.
How can one circumvent protection afforded by a technological measure when that item is by DTV,s own admission, been rendered useless and adbonded to the public for disposal.
A "bootloader" does not circumvent protection afforded by a technological measure as defined but rather allows the "Fair Use" application to view the measure taken so long as the original is intact.
