I received this email today, and I am very tempted to help out. It seems that I can make a ton of money from this. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

Dear Sir,
REQUEST ASSISTANCE/PARTNERSHIP .
I am a member of a contract award and review committee .A
contract already executed by a foreign firm in Africa in
1999 was over invoiced by us to the tune of $15,600,000.00
(Fifteen million six hundred thousand United states
dollars).
In the light of the above, I ask for your assistance in
the transfer of this excess floating fund in a suspence
account into a foreign account you may wish to provide,
for it was a category "A" contract, (strictly reserved for
foreign contractors) this informed my request, and also
that I am forbidden by my government to run any foreign
account.
After the sucessful transfer, 20% of the total sum will go
to you for your assistance. 5% of the total sumwill be set
aside to compensate for any incidental expenses incured by
both parties.
More details will be given in the course of correspondence.
Your confidentiality is highly required since I am still in
active service .
Thank you for your anticipated co-operation.
Regards,
Dr Felix Igho.

No way dude! NO one is going to offer you free money unless they are embezzling it. Here's a scarier thought. Maybe this guy us part of Al Qaeda trying to reestablish there money flow in the US.
My advise, stay away big time!
PS. send him an email back asking him how he got your email out of millions of others or did he send it to millions of others too.

Have you looked in the mirror lately? ;) Or, do we need a female fish for fish lips... um..er, you might have to think about that one.
I did not have the stomach to even ask for fish lips... Now, if you wanted fish eyelids, that would have been different.

Totally off topic here.. but this is pretty good..
"We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal, bed wetters.
We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights."
ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII: You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.
ARTICLE IX: You don't have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE X: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness -- which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights,"

I've seen this scam before. When, a long time ago, I used to deal in aircraft parts we used to get leters and e-mail that looked almost exactly like the one you have. When checking into them what we would found out was that the party on the other end would put in a few hunderd or more then contact you to have you take it out. After doing this a few times they would than ask you to put all the money you took out back in so they could cover some paper work someplace. They would make sure your account was used this way a few times to make the bank look the other way when this happened. If it only happens once and for a large amount the bank looks at it real close. once they have you convinced this is going to work they remove everything from your account, its after that that you find out they have also opened credit lines attached to your account. When they are gone your left with nothing in the bank and owing $50,000 some place. I really hope this works out for you, god I can tell you how many times I've needed the extra cash and wanted to do this and after they tell me to take it out I do and close the account. But I allways get screwed, allways. Keep us up to date on how you make out. And if you lose everything just remember its only money, not like its TV or something.
Good luck,
Later.

BD, this situation scares the sh!t out of me. I hope you realize that this situation puts YOU at a huge risk. giving someone your bank account number etc, could make you liable for a lot of things. if i was you, i'd contact this guy on the phone (seems you have) meet him in person, just be careful, i can't imagine what it was like for Brad to get ripped b4, my only hope is that hes doing better now. BD, Easyrider, do be careful, you dont know who you can trust.

I did this a few years ago Brain. Take your profits and put it in a ROTH IRA. That way you avoid taxes but you can dabble in the stock market with your ROTH account. You can open one with 5K and put 2K a year in it but if you are self employed there are alot of options. And keep a pistol handy as you may have to wack the occasional IRS agent who comes a visiting.

Risk is a game we have to play if we want to get ahead. I figure that $20,000 is not all that much to gamble. Hell, I lose that much in a hand of Blackjack in Vegas.

Good advice Chevy! So, what you are saying is that after I make all of this money I should invest it further? Why not roll it over into another Nigerian investment? I hear they are doing quite well these days. And, with the economy being so bad, I think the Nigerians have a good thing going here. As for the pistol, what caliber are you suggesting?

Nigeria would be a good investment. Construction projects in Israel are always available. I just plunked a big chunk down on the Star of David Condominium complex going up in the Golan Heights and doubled up on the insurance so I can't lose. Might want to take a look at it. Also I recommend .40 caliber hollow points. Cuts down on the screaming if your aim is a little off.

I prefer a shotgun. You only have to aim in the general direction.

I am not sure that a $40,000 truck will be large enough to move all of the gold in only one trip. How about I send you $60,000 so you can get a larger truck and I get a bigger cut of the gold?
