This letter ---- is BULL.
I ordered stuff but never got it...
I ordered stuff then changed my mind and sent it back....
I ordered thought it was something else, couldnt send it back So I threw the stuff away.

It is ludicris for them to assume because someone bought something they actually used it... How the hell do they know. I have til the 25th... I would be willing to settle, just so they would leave me alone but not for $3500...

luckyme. do NOT be worried sick. that is EXACTLY what DTV wants you to be! although there is NOTHING i can say to make you feel 100% better.

contact a lawyer, explore your options. THEN "PANIC" after you have weighed out your options!

If you never used the devices you shouldn't have anything to worry about. The truth will win in court. It might cost you some up front money, but in the end it you should get back your money and then some. Contact a good Civil trial attorney. Check with the Bar in your local area. You should have an attorney send them a letter explaining you have no idea what they are talking about and you have never stolen DirecTV, and if they take you to court you will counter sue. Don't say you had the devices or tried to send them back. You do not want to give them any information that they could use. Be sure you review each letter your attorney sends. There has been a few cases where an attorney called them and tried to be honest and explain his way out of it. Just dug the guy in deeper. This is from a post I read on here.

You start off with having three different stories here.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to narrow it down to one TRUTHFUL story since it cannot be all three as they are each different from the other. You will be PLENTY worried if you try to say the below in a court of law. I am really trying not to let it get to me.. I have never been in this situation, it all boils down to one thing M-O-N-E-Y.

Speaking as a person who when in court is usually looking at jail time do not swet this. IT is only money. I mean worst cas scenerio is you are out $3500. that is wost case really. That is not cheap but a DUII small misdameanors will cost you more money than that. I mean you could call them and be done with it. I am too big of a jew to give them $3500. Find a good lawyer and retain him. Just try to have a positive outlook and the stress won't eat you up.

Baloney! He could easily lighten his load by more than twice the $3500.00 settlement award if he goes into court telling a judge three different stories. By the way, now that you've publically posted a demeaning characterization of Jews, care to go after Muslims and Christians, too? Or, aren't you an equal opportunity bigot?

The three stories that were posted were just scenarios that could have happened to someone ..anyone and dave would not know about it, I was not saying that is what happened to me or not. Just a for instance.. everything they would have is just speculation and assumptions. I did not mean to stir up any mess between members, we all value our hard earned M-O-N-E-Y.

No he is NOT a tool hognutz he is pointing out your use of a non allowed remark. Using racially disparaging remarks is not permitted here and your response is a very poor one.

You may have made the remark off-hand without realizing it but now that its been brought to your attention, your answer is not satisfactory at all.

If you use such terms again on this forum you will lose all posting privileges so please understand that. And do not call people names when they point out a broken rule as that will get you banned just as quickly.
