Sky Sattalite from the UK

Does anyone have any info on the Sky Sattalite System from the UK. Is it easy to 'Test' the system in Canada? What specifics are there (special receiver, satallite, etc). What is the price range.

Any info is appreciated...

I think there is some sort of way, even though the bird isn't aimed here. I was at a rugby club in S. Ontairo with one of my friends the other day and they had a Sky Satallite from the UK (not sure if it was altered or not), hooked up to a Euro TV with a North American Power adapter converter. It appeared as if it was all SKY Satallite programming...

Not sure how they did it, but I saw it first hand...

Not sure how they are doing that they transmit from astra satellite at 19E which is mostly focused at the uk well over the horizon from the usa and canada i live in london at the moment and there is no hack for it they have even just done a card change it is encryted in nds

pug: If you were to compare NDS Technology for Sky to the DirecTV NDS Technology available, what generation of Technology would they be on? (F/P1, H/P2, HU/P3, P4/NDS, P5/DTV or higher?)

By looking at Lyngsat, if you lived in Atlantic Canada and had a real big dish, at the right elevation (which is like 2 or 3) you would be able to get Sky Satallite. Not sure if that has something too do with it...

They would be at the p4 stage everything here concerning sky is so underground no one really likes to talk about on the boards
There was a few scripts around but nothing seemed to work
