opened up the local paper - out pops a add for bev
their top receiver has a vcr -hmmm didn't we have the film boards bitch about copyright and how pirates and hackers are copying their products
seems bev is saying it's ok to copy away using our dish when you use their service - whats copyright to them
i think a bigger case of conflict can be raised by their past and present board of directers of bce
starting with trudeau - past goverment ministers with conections to the present goverment of power
show how the old boys club works

Hmmm
I am not going to flame you in any way, but you do tend to give a temperature rise, in your view point. Yes sometimes we all take litle things and bend them a little to fit certain views, but just because BEV in now integrating digital recording capabilities into its IRDs, does not in most peoplke minds infringe on copyright. Yes we can all say that everytime we tape a movie on a VCR we are technically abusing the copyright of the producer. I can see this and I do believe the courts did address this before and without remembering all the details, it boiled down to something like; The average person can tape a movie for his own viewing and pleasure without breaking copyright laws, but if he tapes if for commercial gain or business promotion, he is overstepping the giudelines of the copy protection act. Now do not take this as word for word gosphel as it is only my tired old minds recallection, of past things.

We really do not need to replough all the old ground everytime we need another straw to grab at, do we?
