a couple of years ago i bought a ULPRO and a VECTOR NEXTGEN iso 7810 programmer from the vector tech web site (bolth of them work great and from my friends expeiance with them he says they worked even better than his new t-6)but yesterday I received a call from someone claiming to be a layer for dave and she said that i had purchased an illegal devise and that i was being sued by direct tv for illegaly recieving a signal from direct tv. I told her that I was not recieving any signal from dtv.She said that doesnt matter. She know exactly what i purchased for my friend and then went on to tell me that dtv had pressed charges on vecktor tech for selling illegal devices and that they had settled out of court for all the names of people that had purchsed anything from them and a list of what they had purchased. She then says that everyone that had purchased from them were going to be taken to court for $10,000, but that she was authorized to settle out of court with me for $4,500. I then told her this sounds like i need a layer to talk to you any longer she asked me to right down some info on who to call after i contacked my attorney. I told her i dont have a pen and asked her to call me back and leave me a message on my voicemail she said ok and i hung up. she has yet to call me back.
has any one else had a phone call like this? has anyone heard of something like this happening to someone? also i was under the impression that it was not illegal to purchase and that is was only illegal to use them to get satilite without paying. to my understanding their are many uses for these thing other than trieing to still satilite signals. if i am wrong and u know the the low down i would appreciate some info.
another thing i am unable to login to the members area when i click on email risestar it will not go through the email address that i had given when i first joined was misspelled and i cant even login to post in the disscusion form i just renewed my membership about 3 mounth ago so if some one could please email him for me it would be greatly appriciated my name is
