Hello, I have been told by a BEV dealer that Expressvu does have have the capabilty to monitor the receivers that "call in" (are hooked to a phone line) from their existing base of customers. Does anyone else have any info on this?

Seems bev is "giving away" some free movies just by plugging in your phone line....and I also noticed on my 2700 sub that the modem tries to dial out quite frequently, Supposing this is what is causing the clicking noise and slight digitization to the picture when it happens...I have a good notion to call and complain about it..

I have heard a few rumors that BEV is stepping up the phone line connection. This could be the start of a required phone line connection or no service.

Ya gotta wonder what they are up to...I think they are fishing for info on how the ird's are being used...or whats being used to get the channels! As for the phone line being completely connected...dont think it will ever happen...mine would be a hazard streching across to the other room....One other thought is that they are cash strapped and want to reel in all the outstanding pay per views that are in the memory of the ird's that are not attached to the phone...which seems to make sense.
