NDS Stock Hits New Low

...after spending almost a Billion dollars to close the Italian Telepiu deal, it appears Murdoch has failed to spare NDS the pain of the Canal+ charges, even though Canal+ has agreed to withdraw their claims. Now with Echostar, DirecTV and the Justice Department jumping on the bandwagon, the hacking allegations are as hot as they have ever been, and their stock is feeling the heat.

Hi Guys,

I have a strong feeling that anyone who sold this short a few days ago will NOT be covering on Monday. It will be extremely difficult for any insiders to turn this baby around so I would expect it to fall even more once the street realizes just how much there is against them.

We have Echostar, we have Nagra, we have DirecTV™ all claiming similar things and now the government investigating these allegations on a criminal basis. So the government will be getting testimony from the Americans, the Israeli's, the British and the Canadians who are involved. It started at 32 people and if you think of that, its a LOT of people. They may even have some new and unnamed people.

Don't forget I seem to turn up on every ones lists thee days :)

Hi Folks,

Well they held it at $4.96 today, first time in the $4.00 range.

But here is what it is down this year so far -78.11 %. Not too far to go to be a Nortel or Enron type reduction.

This may be because NDS filed for another standstill agreement since they have settled with Canal + but Echo are not asleep at the wheel either and have asked Judge Walker to continue the suit with Echostar using the same discovery in part. So Echo object to the standstill and now NDS are saying they have no standing to object.

It must be obvious to Judge Walker that there is something going on here and I think he will give Echostar standing and then go along with the objection. They have already stated that this is to prevent the destruction of documents and I do not see why he would not protect against that. If Echo is wrong they can always be destroyed LATER if needed.

I also suspect that DirecTV™ may also make a claim to this court since they want to know if NDS did this and what role they played in the quick hack of the P3 when it was considered such a high level security chip.

NDS have not allowed DirecTV™ to give over the code for testing an assist the companies that they wanted to appoint (2 of them). They also put the kibosh on DirecTV™ dealing with Infineon, even though that's against the CALS (Conditional Access Engineering and Security) agreement.

In fact NDS seem to be trying to withhold both P3 and P4 information from DirecTV™ even though DirecTV™ are the leader in the P4 card development and the P4 is an extension of the P3 card.
