I have an RCA F38310 HDTV (w/ integrated HD receiver and DirectTV receiver). I am able to record HD terestrial signals via Hauppauge WinTV-HD card in my PC. However, I would like to try to capture the HD signal from channel 199 and the integrated DirectTV receiver is killing me. Anyone out there have any great ideas?

You tv has no output of its tuner signal? I don't think any of the HD receivers will let you record the HD feed because the HD VCR only has a firewire input. I know there is some type of mod that can be done with the DTC100 to allow it to work with an HD VCR.

Look for info on "169time". It is some kind of receiver mod that allows you to record to DVHS.
I personally have not used it so YMMV.
