I am state side, and heard about this through another thread. Now this is a 'garden', obviously not personal use.

30,000 square foot pot growing factory.....1/2 KG dry per plant X 9500 plants = 4750 KG (10,687 lbs) of HYDROPONIC weed...wow. that is 5 tons of good smoke up in smoke.

Charged with multiple drug offences are Minh Liem Duong, 32, of Mississauga, Trang Van Le, 42, of Toronto, and Chi Minh Do, 25, and Minh Hiep Le, 45, both of no fixed address.


It was all a big misunderstanding, they thought they were growing rice :)

In the article, these people were busted by the "morality officers" - what the heck is that???? I have never heard of such a creature - at least not in Canada. Is this something new or have I been under a rock too long!!!!!!

Needless to say, I am shocked to the nth degree and disgusted as well. I read in another thread somewhere here (my sometimers has kicked in and I forget where) that we are being legislated to the point where no matter what, the average Joe-Blow citizen will have so many rules to follow - that will be so difficult to decipher as to what they "actually mean" (sound familiar) that we will be constantly breaking them.

If there is such a thing as a "morality officer" person, I would like to know, because I may sign up for a job with them........ What are the credentials for that job??? I would like to see a CV on one of them. Just what we need - one more level of government paid people. Or maybe these are "specialized law enforcement officers". Big brother is getting too big.

Morality officer, that'll be the day! Can we say "oxymoron" ?.. :R
