I got my first letter from the fine folks in Texas and I'm in the final stages of settling due to costs and don't want job to know about it (gov empl). Now today I got a letter from the infamous End User Group saying the same thing so now I have to contact my lawyer again. I was wondering anybody else had this happen to them? I hope they are not gonna try to nitpic on every single purchase. Also the purchases were from sites that were busted even though one was bought in early 2000.

Well you did not say if you had more purchases, so I will point out that they can come after you for each and every purchase. You need to make your lawyer aware of this and be sure you are settling for any and all purchases to this date. Otherwise they can come after you one at a time if they feel like it. For a while there was a volume of units to each level of settlement, but I can not exactly remember where the thread is. It is best to speak to your lawyer in an honest and straight forward manner. Also remember you can still join the classaction suit as well.

my lawyer knows I bought some stuff so we were going to put it in writing that all purchases be included in the settlement. So he will be calling them on Monday and see what happens. I will be thinking about that class action lawsuit too.

Odds are, no. Class Action lawsuits typically take years to settle. The odds of them "stopping" (or you trying to stay a court proceeding) for that long are not very good.

The standard settlement agreement says it will release the released party from any civil claims, demands, injuries, and causes of action, for damages or any other relief, in law or in equity, based on claims arising out of, or related to the facts of, the dispute. Does not include conduct after the date of the agreement. This in effect gives you amnesty from civil action from the date of the agreement for any past activities. You should contact your lawyer and have him notify the end user development collections agency that you have settled and to cease and dissect any further action or their client DirecTV will be in breach of contract. You can compair your agreement with the one on posted on the net and it should be same.
