I believe that the tape was made by the government. This way they can keep the support of the public for fighting a war that many believe has gone long enough.

My opinion is he's been a goner for a while.

What I did find interesting was that it was only an audio tape. He may be in very bad shape.

BTW, Whatever happened to Donald Rumsfeld's proposed department of disinformation anyway? Oh yeah, it was scrapped because of the enormous public outcry. or was it???

Personally I just find it hard to believe that any "human" with that much status could have lived as long and travelled as far as he supposedly has without one single arab bragging about it.

Whether we spread the b.s. or al qaiada spreads the b.s., it all works to our advantage in this proposed 10 year war. All we have to do is claim bin laden is in "name the fiefdom" and see what kind of cooperation we get. If they don't cooperate then they are "against us."

Osama bin Laden is in Pakistan is my guess and we probably have made a deal with Mushareff(Pres of Pakistan) to stay out of Pakistan.
We should be all over that place covertly looking for nobody but him in my opinion.
Ive heard lately about this new Woodward book(Bush at War) and it says we bought the Taliban as much as we bombed them.
The CIA needs to be over there trying to buy him in Pakistan and I would say they probably are doing that, just not telling us.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, I listened to a news story on FoxNews (i believe) that questioned the authenticity of the two-minute bin laden audio tape. The next day I searched two major newspapers and found nothing regarding the swedish team's findings (performing its tests independent from washington's) only to conclusively rule out any possibility of this tape being the real-deal. Maybe I'm just hearing what I want to hear but I have to ask, did anyone else hear this and if so, please help substantiate my beliefs here that the audio tape was just clever disinformation on our govt's part. pretty please, somebody just please post a link if you find it!:D
