Alan Gold is looking forward to us being raided in the very near future as we have gone totally grey market. Then the charter challenge could proceed in a criminal context. This would eleminate McKenzie and all the other intervenors. We would just be fighting the crown attorney. All dealers should consider going grey for the time being. As we are looking forward to a speedy trial which would happen without McKenzie. If we won then it would be wide open for grey market and they couldn't do anything about it. So far they have come in on dealers doing Bell or Playstation Mods. Let's finally deal with it without muddying the waters!

Incredible I agree that criminal proceedings would be better than civil. Has Allan commented on the RC Act versus 327 ?

327 would be better, but RC act would be fine. He says by pushing the RCMP to act, they may be shooting themselves in the foot.

Wasn't the Norsat case based on Grey Market only?

RCMP in Windsor visited some stores in the area 2 weeks ago. Just a friendly look-see. Said they were going to a conference in Toronto last week dealing with Satellite issues and they would be back. Waiting to see if anything comes of it.

Norsat was a civil case, nothing to do with the Charter.

From what I understand Canadian customs is now stopping all Satellite related items at the border.
A. How would a grey market dealer continue to get Systems/Cards
B. If you were to win on a grey market case would Us systems again be allowed entry into Canada ?

They are not always stopping systems at the border, they are notifying the RCMP, and letting them decide. It can be used for a search warrant.
