I got a new E86 last week. I like the unit but I think I have a problem with it. I have a rooftop antenna and a round dish so I get HD HBO and HD OTA locals. On all 1080i HD sources, there is a kind of a delay every second or two. By delay, I mean that motion will sort of stop for an insant and then return to normal. Like it can't keep up with the bitrate, or something. It is kind of hard to notice sometimes but it is definately always there. It does not have this problem Fox 480p channels or regular SD channels.

I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem with the E86. I did not buy it at a local shop so I may not be able to exchange it. Has anyone dealt with Hughes warranty service?

What kind of Signal Strength are you getting? I have the E86, and it normally works fine, though the OTA will start pixelating every now and then when signal strength is low.

I agree, check the signal strength...

Signal strength looks fine. I just checked and it was doing it on one of the OTA channels at 100%. Also happenning on HBO at 97%. There is no pixelization, it is not like a microfreeze. It is more like a quick jerk in the video.

Are you running a 3M. Some 3Ms seem to microfreeze when a hash is going on. I don't wee how that wouldaffect OTA. If you are running a 3M, see if removing the card has an impact on OTA treception. I Doubt it will, but it is worth a shot.

Yeah, tried that. I am running a 3m, I pulled the card while watching OTA. As expected, that had no effect.
