Hughes E-86 HDTV - No SAT signal

I connected new E-86 it worked for several hours then I received a message that a new software was being downloaded. Turned on TV next day and only get "searching for sat. signal". All cables and signal confirmed good, also swapped ird for old RCA, all channels good with high signal of 88-95.

?? Question - Can DTV send a signal to lock a receiver??

No I have never heard of that before. This happened to me before make sure you are putting the input into the input and output into the output. I had them switched on the back of the receiver input to output and output to input and had the same problem.
