I have a mm36100, and am considering purchasing either a dvdo iscan or a dtc-100, and have a few questions. Does the dtc-100 have inputs? Does it support 480p as well as 1080i? Is 480p or 1080i better looking? Also, would I lose hdtv quality by just using my current dtv recievers and routing them through the dvdo iscan?

The DTC-100 is nice unit. Only drawback I can think of is that you have to have a convertor for progressive output (Unless you have a compatible RCA hdtv). RCA output is through a SVGA type connector. It does not affect quality and they are easy to obtain at Ebay for around $25.00.
The DTC-100 has a great picture. On regular channels the picture quality is far superior to my other standard RCA receivers.

I appreciate your input. i have decided to go with the iscan as it will deinterlace not only dss, but my dvd, and vhs, xbox etc...I dont think the dtc-100 will do this. Everything i had read prior to posting again was just so ambiguous and contradicting. The tv i have is compatible with the dtc-100, and buying a progressive scan dvd player for it is just such a pain (vga inputs)...getting all my sources done with one unit to me will be worth losing marginal quality on not getting an internally progressive scan dvd player.

FYI, the DTC100 has a built-in line doubler.
