I have a Hughes E86 for OTA HDTV, if I sub to DTV what is the minimum package needed to get satellite HDTV?

even a mininum package $34.99(?) will get you 199 hdnet. there is no charge
for this channel. You of corse have to have the dual lnb to point to the 199 satellite.

They only offer 1 HBO in HD, and 1 Showtime in HD, so you would have to sub to both of thoes packages, HDNET is free, and the also off 1 PPV in HD, thats it...

DishNet had more HD channels from what I can tell.
