Fullmonte you bring up a great idea...It's amazing any of us are here today...With all the dangerous toys we had growing up..Anyone remember lawn darts?? BB-guns?A ton of small chokeable items that are now outlawed??...If you are over 25 and have 2 working eyes and 20 digits consider yourself lucky...Sheesh I coulda killed myself on any of the toys I had as a kid..Safety helmet? Elbow pads???? My dear lord now I know what my grandfather meant by "We were tuffer when I was a Kid"...Anyone else have any other "death toys"????

I finally gave in to paintball guns - when the kids were old enough. I can't believe that this is a "Toy". I wonder if it has to be registered with the law enforcement agencies if it is sold as a toy????

bb guns and pellet guns... we would get dressed in layers and put on goggles and play rambo... shooting each other... it was against the rules to do a hot fire aka more than 3 pumps i think...
you would have never seen us riding around with bike helmets, what kind of sissy where you to wear a helmet. I got hit 3 times by cars 2 ran from the scene. one was like in a movie where i was riding in a straight line and all of a sudden a guy decideds he is goign ot turn right in front of me ... BAM i hit his front fender and launched over the hood of the car...skinned up my legs and hands but got up to see the guy hauling ass down the street... I was pissed cause my wheel was bent. who needs a helmet, just drink more milk.
we also used to jump out of trees and whoever jumped from the highest point was the winner... unfortunately my friend was a bad ass and he then was a bad ass with 2 broken ankles....
right now you are asking yourself is this guy stupid or something .... well hell yes we were.

Phoz, I believe that those were the days when men were allowed to be men and women were allowed to be women. Now we just have to be "politically correct"......

Don't forget about all the cool firecrackers we used to be able to buy....blockbusters, red devils, yellowjackets, ladyfingers were cool...they fit in the pellet gun barrel and you would have your buddy light it and then you would shoot....we used to blow up all kinds of things....usually model kits and plastic soldiers...the odd amphibian too...:R Still no injuries from any of it....came close in some situations but still have all parts of me intact!

Heheh, yea we used to have those fights too...we had a two pump rule but it was rarely enforced :) ohhhhh thats gonna leave a mark. And oh yes lawn darts , now there's a toy that kept you on your toes. Helmets, we dont need no stinkin' helmets. I think my right ear is still swollen from hitting a light pole at about 30 MPH on a bike when I was 8, the person teaching me how to ride pushed me down a hill but forgot to tell me how the brakes functioned.

Uh, your look'n at that from the wrong angle I think.. You see when we were kids you had to KNOW better, and you LERNT to know better from SPERIENCE. You just had alot more experience then is required of kids these days. You see your dad was Right, it's getting easier to be a kid all the time!
Oddly enough, it seems we did the 2 pump rule too! I remember walnuts and wrist rockets being real popular too! No way sissy, off with the snowmobile suit!
One time on bikes we were spitting on each other and I kept looking back and slammed into the back of a parked car, landed on the trunk and bent the forks!

We sure have come a long way from the DAISY bb gun!
