Hi folks,
One of my hobbies is old electronics....just something about sitting by the fire, burning one, listening to an old radio with the tubes glowing and the ever-present green tuning eye watching your every move.....But I Digress.
I have quite a collection of old tubes and I like to test them out to get rid of the junk. I have a Allied/Knight tseter, but I don't have any info for testing certain "strains" of tubes...namely the Philco 2 digit code....eg: 42 No 6CU6, or 12AX7...just 42. Does anyone have any info on how to cross reference these so they can be used on the Allied testers? I've got some monster power amp tubes, but can't find info on testing them on my Knight.
Thanks to all who help out!!
