It looks allright, but I think maybe they ought to go with something that represents the people that was lost.
I guess that will be reflected in the Memorial, so I might be wrong. jmo, It looks nice though.

I like the fact that it is going to be one of the largest free standing buildings out there. That's a nice phuck you to Osama!

I remember listening to New Yorkers comment that they should build another WTC, bigger and better for all the world to see.

I like that kind of moxy.;)

Dam straight..Build it bigger and better I say..Small memorial at the base , but don't waste that prime space ..Not that a memorial is a waste, but this building needs to be a active place..It needs to be a productive part of NYC...A celebration of life and of the USA..

I lost two relatives in that clusterfrig on 9/11.

They'd want it rebuilt. Perhaps with a better approach to Iraq and N. Korea at this time.

Less then that will bring more terrorism.

How do you deal with an enemy that has no value for his/a life, just his cause. It's impossible.

Somehow, we have to stop this nonsense.

We'll jump from Iraq to Korea. We'll dominate, stay, and reconstruct.

Millions spent. Millions have been to establish what I hope is the leverage to bring Iraq to compliance.

And we have the people at home that are starving; without medical; without the benefits old age should bring.

The care and dollars to be spent to provide for our war, and too, the pretense of war, might be better spent in our back yard.

I vented. I needed that. I'm walking in sand, again.

Yeah, Right Mega, Unless someone is a cripple in america, it is there own fault they are starving. I am by no means wealthy, in fact I lost almost everything I had on sept 11, currently I am 3 months behind on my mortgage and car payments. BUT, I won't take a handout and I WILL MAKE IT. Look at afghanistan, have you been watching the interviews with their president lately??? That region is so happy to be free, capitolism is abounding, hell even Marriot is building a $50 Million dollar hotel in downtown Kabul. The middle easterners are currently anti society because they have nothing, and have no hope of EVER having anything, we open the door in Iraq, and the floodgates of sweet freedom, democracy, and capitolism will flow throughout the middle east. So when I hear narrow minded thinking, and fear to ever try to instill values in a valueless society, I think of how this greatest of all expirements 'America' has turned out and can't help but think the human race yearns for freedom and self fulfillment. Oh and as far as the cripple guy go's, we are not a heartless society a cripple will always get fed in America, but the Lazy will starve.

I remember the lazy flocking to Canada, they won't let them starve..And if you can reproduce you can get a free ride for awhile here..I was stuck behind a guy at the checkout line yesterday and he had 3 different programs going for him..WIC, food stamps, and a credit card thing, it took forever to get out of checkout..Did I forget to mention the 50 dollar pants and IZOD shirt he was wearing? And 3 gold chains...If I was hard up enough to get on 3 different handout programs I'd sell the 60 dollar shirt off my back first..Or the 100 dollar nikes.....:R

For anyone really down on their luck, go live in San Francisco. They have a program that gives the homeless $300 (US)/month. From what I have heard it seems to be a good program. I am not sure how they determine whether or not you are really homeless or not though....

Crippled, mentally dysfunctional, disabled, etc... it is our responsibility to help those that suffer and cannot take care of themselves. That is why those in Afghanistan had to be helped. They were not able to help themselves, just like the Iraqii people and the N. Koreans.

PackerBacker you will make it!! You are determined and resourceful = success.

Megaflop - what a tragedy to lose 2 people in the 9-11 tragedy. I hope that we are able to constantly thwart whatever these evil people try to do so that we will never have to see anything like that happen again. Although, I just heard that there was a bomb found in a car in the Detroit area that exploded after the police pulled the driver over. The bomb squad was called, but somehow it went off. No injuries, this time..... Just goes to show we must remain diligent in being aware of what is going on around us, as much as we can!

Bone Daddy - I had a most embarrassing time when I went to the states to do some shopping. When checking out I went to use my debit card and there were only 2 buttons to choose from WIC and Credit Card. I chose WIC. What a mistake..... I not only was told by the cashier that I had "obviously" pushed the wrong button, but then she had to delete the order and re-scan EVERYTHING again. I could have died! The looks and loud sighs of those behind me were like daggers pointing at me. So now I only use cash - period - end of discussion. Maybe they knew I didn't use WIC because everything I wore would add up to a total of about $50. I also only wear 1 gold chain, not 3. Hmmmmm good to know for the next shopping experience.... :Z

Heh, god bless America, after my earlier post I had 3 new orders come

in and..... Believe it or not as of tonight I am caught up on all my

house payments and am only 1 month late on my car payments, GOD BLESS

AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when I used to sell cars at

a used car lot (about 20 years ago), one day the owners son came in,

he was about 20 years old, silver spoon, and an attitude. I remember

calling him (behind his back) "the golden sperm". My, how much I have

learned. Just being born in America, makes ME a golden sperm compared

to the rest of the world, I am faced with more opportunity in my

crappy little town in Wisconsin then most of the worlds population

find in their entire nation. I geuss what I would like to see is the

United World Of America, except maybe france ;) f--- them!

Opportunity like we have here would end 99% of the worlds problems

because when a human life could possibly be the next Einstein, or

Gates, then you are less likely to take that person for granted. OK

rant over OUT!!
