I guess this guy figured out how to sell cards on ebay with a IRD.

We have been giggling about this for a week now...That guy get's an A for originality....I could mod that IRD....:cool: I have an OAKSTAR 1000 myself...LMAO

I bought one of those from that guy. I've had it for 2 weeks. It does NOT work. I've tried everything. There are no buttons or switches on it and get this, the remote control is made out of wood.

I should have known something was wrong with this deal, I wanted to find out something about this receiver before I bid on this auction. I did a search on pinesat and all I got was a picture of a tree. I will know better next time something doesn't smell right.

I purchased one a while ago and now I'm getting letters from Georgia Pacific asking for money. They say my table saw is an illegal hacking device.Should I ignore the letters or what?

who sold you the table saw? when were they busted?
I heard home depot was raided last week.

they need to prove that you actually used the table saw illegally...
table saws have other uses besides hacking stuff. get a lawyer to write a letter to get their lawyers off your back. maybe we should move this thread to the legal rights forums...

For those of you who get the same letter from Georgia Pacific as NotHome, there is already a lawfirm that has stepped in to start a class-action suit.

Call Mahogony, Cypress, and Birch at 888-555-1212.

The law firm is looking to throw a stick into the spokes of this problem before anyone gets too badly splintered.

Whatever you do, do not settle! GP can not win this case! There is no proof that you did anything illegal.

I read somewhere that a dealer who got the Georgia Pacific letter paid $3,000.00 to settle. If you get the letter it might be a good idea to replace the hard drive on your computer, hide the wood burning stove, and take all your furniyure to the dump. The people dealing in these pinesat IRD's are falling like trees.

GP has dropped the lawsuite. After sending them my hacking tools (table saw, router, etc) and all hacked devices in an attempt to settle, I received a letter from their legal department stating that due to my obvious lack of wood working skills the were dropping the suite. They also included a post script asking if I still had ten fingers, so they must actually have a heart.
