ok so alot of people sayt this war is all about oil.... and thus they are against this war.

I say sure it is about oil and other things. and i am somewhat for this war.

things that you need to ask yourself about this war...
1. will US oil companies benefit from this war if we win? ... yes of course they will and this will definitely help our economy.

2. will more people die in the long run if saddam is left in power? .. yes more people will die.

3. why are france russia and china against this war? ... hmmm is it cause they currently have deals with iraqi oil? yes of course it is...

alot of the fight between these countries is over the economic futures of countries ... which country is going ot have a good financial future and which country will thus have the political power... well i want the USA to have the power and thus i want the USA to have the oil. this iraqi oil represents trillions to the US economy and frankly we need a boost.

another statement i have to make is that i do think that killing people is wrong and i do think that this war could have been delayed. but the bottom line is that this war was always going to happen and the only real way it could have been avoided is that if from day one saddam followed the guidelines of his surrender. it is his own pride that has brought this war on.

as to him going into exile this would still benefit the USA as are plan is to install a government that deals oil to us. that is also why you did not see support from france russia and china for this option...

weather you like it or not Bush is doing what is best for the economic future of this country.(and granted some of his friends are going to get rich to.)

God bless our people in the military cause they are not only fighting for our safety and for the people of iraq's freedom but for our financial future.

CAN YOU IMAGINE IF THE USA WAS NOT THE ECONOMIC SUPERPOWER THAT IT IS?

I am not to bright but can someone help me with this?

1. will US oil companies benefit from this war if we win? ... yes of course they will and this will definitely help our economy. I understand how the oil companys will get rich(the $50 fill-up at the pump told me that). How will this overall help our economy? Is Iraq part of opec that has a flat across the board fee they can charge for the oil?

weather you like it or not Bush is doing what is best for the economic future of this country.(and granted some of his friends are going to get rich to.) Didn't ol' GW run a couple of oil companys into the ground? That is what I was told anyway. You don't believe that those companys would just let him walk away without paying up. Would they?

No THIS war is not about OIL!!
Once This Murderer is out of power the OIL part will go in a UN trust fund and only the people in IRAQ will benifit from it.
The Brits and the Americans are not over there to gain profit and control the oil fields, they are there to Punish a mass Murderer.
I really don't like getting involved in this but I'm fed up of those that keep saying we are over there for the OIL.
Bottom line ..
WE DON'T NEED THE STINKING OIL.
This is my opinion and I don't want to start a flame fest,in fact I will personally CLOSE Flame fest threads.
He!! Brain check mi spellin WILL YA!!:gg

if the market place is flooded with cheap oil the economy wil grow... think about all the things tht rely on oil in some form or fashion...
cars, trucks , semis, planes , trains, ships and this is just for transportation.. think about what they effect they drop the prices of goods cause transport is cheaper.

I am not saying the sole purpose of this war is oil, i am saying that oil is a big part of it or result of this war. will it benefit the iraqi people yes of course it will it will make them a wealthy nation, and at the same time it will help those that they sell it to also.

and true we dont NEED the oil, however having a surplus of oil would be benificial.

A lot of commodity goods are so cheap to produce that the most significant cost is the transport. When stability is returned to the region, oil will go down and the global economy will flurish (sp?).

The oil companies will lower the price of fuels as the crude oil price drops. That is what capitalism is all about. We probably won't see a price war, but we won't see profit gouging (sp?) either.

Do you remember the 70's oil crisis, I do. The same arguments were made then as now. The price of fuel will go down once the fear factor is reduced in the middle east.

Also, if you think the oil companies are making SO much profit from this, then maybe you should invest in oil stock. There you go, the common man CAN take part in the profit chain!
