Is there a difference between Dishnet and Dss dishes? If I have a Dishnet and just turn and adjust for Dss and use Dss IRD will I be able to get tv or do I have to change the dish and lnb? I know cables are same. Any help appreciated. Am very dumb at this.Thanks.

The single LNB dish I am using for DTV was first used for dish so I would say for the basic stuff it should work after repointing it.

No problem at all, you can use the DISH satellite dish for DirecTV. Just repoint and switch to your DirecTV receiver.
