View Full Version : No sound on DSR6000

I have been using my DSR6000 without problems for over a year. Tonight, when I pressed select to view a recorded program, the audio suddenly cut out... all channels, recorded and live. I confirmed that the DSR6000 is not producing audio by switching from my amplifier output to the TV speaker output... still no sound.
Things I have tried that haven't worked:
1. Soft system reset
2. Hard reset (unplugged for 10 mins)
3. Reprogram card with working 3m script (I know it works because I also have it on a Hughes Silver receiver)
4. Verify audio connections

Has anyone else experienced this?
Any other ideas on what I should try?

Thanks

Thanks for the input. That didn't do it.
Any other suggestions?

I have heard of dsr's optical audio output going bad.

If this is the case and you have a coaxual audio in on your sterio I did see a mod on how to add a coaxual DD out to a DSR6000.
