I ran across this from the Old ADH days.... gave me a good laugh.... and thought I would bring it back to those of us that were around then,.....
Mr. Clean is alive and well.........(I think) see....... this is what
happened.....
Early one morning....I decided to suprise him with a visit. He wasn't
awake yet so I slipped in real quiet to wake him up. Just as I leaned over
to give him a good morning kiss... it startled him so bad that he started
having chest pain and I had to rush him to the emergency room. After 3
hours in the emergeny room the doctor decided it wasn't a heart attack...
but it was anxiety.
When I brought him home I was going to make breakfast for him.....but I
kinda got busy rubbing on his H card... and I forgot the stove was on. A
fire burst out in the kitchen. By the time the fire department arrived...
it was a total loss.
We had to to take his poor little dog and go to a motel. While we were
there he was so stressed out from the days events... (and it was only noon)
that he had to lay down. I felt so bad because of all that happened.....I
thought I would suprise him by giving his dog a bath. The poor little dog's
hair was all black and singed... so I thought I'd put some whitener on it.
Nobody told me that peroxide would make singed hair fall out.
When he woke up and saw his dog..... fire shot from his eyes... but yet
he remained calm... didn't blow up at me or anything. He said that could
have happened to anyone. He said that maybe we just need to get out for a
while.. and besides he needed to go see his insurance agent because of the
fire.
Since he still wasn't feeling well I offered to drive him. By this
time it is about 2 pm. He wanted me to take his car so he could put gas in
it and.. umm... I was too afraid to tell him that I never learned to drive a
straight shift. I didn't want him to think I was totally clueless or
anything... and besides... I thought I should be able to learn it fairly
quickly. Nobody ever told me that you had to pick between to brake pedals
in the floor. I picked the wrong one and ummmm.....I'm not really sure how
it happened... but we ended up back in the motel room... only we were still
in the car.
When I asked him if he was ok.. all he did was get out and go over to
the phone and call a cab. He was still awlfully calm.... and I was so
afraid he would have gotten really mad.
When the cab driver arrived.....he said...I want to you to take this
blonde demolition back to Tennessee and I never wnat to see her again!!!
I think he'll come around someday.... :):)
