I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but I have tivo w/ 2.5 extreme and a sub'd card for use w/ it. I have had this setup for about 2 months and has worked flawlessly. For some reason, today my locals (which are paid for) are missing. I checked the card in another receiver (rca 4th gen) and it gets the locals. Does anyone have any idea how to get the locals back? I tried rebooting but didnt help. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i had the same problem. check your software version. Is is 2.5.0 or 2.5.1? You need to upgrade the Tivo software to 2.5.2 or 3.1. It is a known problem that the older software loses locals.

Thanks, I check my version and it is 2.5.1. Is there a fast way to upgrade it? and will I loose all of my current season passes? Thanks in advance.

superzap has an excellent upgrade utility that also adds on his xplusz module(which works great btw). be sure to read his readme.txt file carefully. after upgrading, you will need to 'clear guide data and to do list' for the locals to return, which wipes out season passes(a small price to pay to get locals back). all recordings remain, though.
